  3. Im looking to see if I can make one decent head out of the two I have, but having trouble getting one of the pinion gears out - the one that connects to the spur gear. I can see that the bearing race has disintegrated , and the gear is loose, but doesn't want to come out. What holds it in, as can't see anything else to remove? Cheers...Al

  5. Maybe he has a spur sprocket on it instead of a rim sprocket. Had my 261 rebuilt under warranty and was told not to put rim sprockets on as this causes the problem. http://www.cormacktreecare.co.uk

  11. I picked up an alaskan mill the other day to start playing with. In the last video is the spinning around like a wirly washing line at 42 seconds a necessary part of the milling process? lol

  23. Had mine rebuilt under warranty even though it was 18 months old. It's a known problem with Stihl. As to greasing the bearing, was told it wasn't necessary with all the chain oil flying round in that area. http://www.cormacktreecare.co.uk
