  1. The seeds are about 90 degrees to each other so Sycamore rather than Maple.
  2. Hi David, Yes and yes, but the furor for body was coming out at the base of a large old pruning wound. This is the tomograph, quite contained at the moment.
  3. My Avant is old and tired! I'd rather have a stand alone one and use the Avant to move it around and the ibc cages once full up.
  4. I'll let you know when it arrives and I've had a play.??
  5. I've taken the plunge and got an ex demo model coming from M Large. I'll have a look when it arrives to see if some mounts for the Avant can be fitted to it to move it around.[emoji1360]
  6. Beers will be on you tomorrow night then [emoji12][emoji12]
  7. Nice idea, but I'm going to be working at the house so won't be able to leave. Drop me a message of where you are and can meet up another time. I live in West End. Cheers...Al.
  8. Thanks Shane. Steve is doing it for me. I'll keep Johns details handy though. Cheers
  9. Not always so easy to get the Farmi in the right place for the logs as, can only work it from one side. A stand alone splitter as well would solve this problem.
  10. Hi How are you getting on with your splitter? Could possibly be getting the same one??
  11. Anyone got a recommendation for a Picus tester covering Surrey? Got a tree to do in Chobham. Usually use Kim Gifford but not been able to get any reply for couple of weeks. Cheers Al.
  12. Cheers Beau. Need something else in the yard with the Farmi to help with splitting the nasty arb stuff.
  13. As above, anyone got one of these? Not been able to find out much independent review of them. Been looking at the Thor magic 13t as well. Cheers...Al
  14. Only just seen this - sorry ? I'll add this to the post for others to see Hedge trimmer GEARBOXES.pdf
  15. Delabodge might be interested in the cedar Al?
  16. I was on the flat rate scheme for a few years. They changed the rules last year so if your running costs are only a certain percentage of your turnover then you have to use a 16% rate (I think) It wasn't worth it to me, so changed back to normal vat scheme.
  17. Monday is usually the busiest day for phone calls, after people have been in the garden at the weekend, and think I just get that tree pruned. As.you say July and August will be quiet for phone calls, but fortunately I have enough work to see me through. But like Marcus, I am well known locally and been around a little while...
  18. Can't see pics either. I'm on an iPhone.
  19. Two years on, it's still waiting to be sorted [emoji5] But having used the truck, covering the sides with aluminum would not last long, due to nature of the job and squeezing into driveways etc. Chopperbob recommends 2k and Ferguson enamel paint. I don't know anytjing about paints so is one better than the other and where to buy from. Being able to re-paint over any areas that get damaged would be a bonus, without having to do too much preparation again. Cheers
  20. Leaves aren't right away on that, and says evergreen. This one isn't evergreen. Thanks anyway. I think I'll go for the Trident Maple. Not seen one before. Nice little tree.[emoji1360]
  21. Found this by looking up tri lobed maples Acer buergerianum - Trident Maple Looks possible.
