  1. Any more info on them, sean?
  2. Yes, the manual is wrong. Should be 0.58, but the other numbers are correct: 72 .325" 0.58" 1.5mm Interesting that the 30 & 36 use the same bar length. I had assumed that was one of the differences. I figured faster cutting would make up for more sharpening, so I run 21LPX on my WP36. Turns out it doesn't need sharpening as often as I expected. Maybe I stick it in dirtier places when it's on my saw?
  3. One listing for Kent on the NCFed charcoal page: Find your local charcoal supplier- Coppice-products.co.uk also worth a look.
  4. VAT on delivery is at the same rate as the goods whether you itemise it or include it in the price (in this circumstance, at least): https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vat-notice-70024-postage-and-delivery-charges/vat-notice-70024-postage-delivery-charges-and-direct-marketing
  5. The link given in the other thread was to the user manual. Mister Solutions (liquidated unfortunately) used to be good for sending out parts lists and service manuals. Perhaps someone else who sells parts rather than services machines would be more likely to let you have a copy?
  6. If it's a Land Rover, Foley Specialist Vehicles (Harlow) or AJD Off-Road (Hoddesdon); otherwise Tipmaster (Leyton).
  7. Supergrade Tarpaulin 270gsm - Filter Accessories and Spares - Pond Filters - Pumps and Filters - Pond - Default Category They do a 1.8x1.2m tarp. I would also second a wind-permeable barrier like a hurdle.
  8. Yes, you will. Back to the original post, the nose-weight of the trailer will form part of the load on the towing vehicle, so yes, it will reduce your available payload.
  9. Early days, but this might come useful: The Wood Register Home Page
  10. I've got a PCE-CS 1000N. Seems to work; battery lasts well; hooks are a bit small so keep a couple of karabiners with it. Not had it verified/certified etc for Weights and Measures, but seems ballpark accurate to me. £140 inc VAT, etc.
  11. I had a brief foray with Carlton chains and had this exact feeling (Oregon files). Went back to Oregon chains and all is well again.
  12. Hi Deniz, What sort of work are you after? I'm a Tottenham-based coppice worker cutting mainly in Herts and looking for an extra pair of hands.
  13. Depends on the acre and depends on the hornbeam. There's woods round Broxboune I'd pay £10/tonne for standing and there's bits I'd want paying to go near. If you're selling, I'm interested; if you're buying, I've got some.
  14. Yeah, mixed in the compost heap should do it. There are supposed to be synergies to be had from co-composting. Basically all the things that make it good to have in the soil improve the composting process, too, but with many of the same caveats. http://www.biochar-international.org/sites/default/files/Compost_and_biochar_IBI_2015.pdf
  15. I think the science might be called "confirmation bias".
  16. Too hot for chainsaw trousers.
  17. NFU seem incredibly varied by region. Won't touch me for coppice with a London postcode; won't touch a guy in Essex because he does charcoal; go to Sussex and they seemingly do all the above quite happily.
  18. I struggled to find anywhere that would do a forwarder or a truck-mounted hiab that wasn't north of Yorkshire.... These guys LOLER'd my stuff and are probably nearer to you: Lifting Equipment | Material Handling Equipment - Lifting Gear UK LG UK put me in touch with these people for repairs & servicing: Walker Cranes Walker do inspections, too, so will just be going there this year.
  19. I sometimes get tendinitis from too much gripping. Do you have "trigger finger" - fingers stick, then pop open when you straighten them? I find soaking my hands in a sink full of warm water helps more with the pain and swelling than cold. "Light use" (it's all relative helps loosen me up when I get it bad. Too much typing makes it worse for me. If you can't rest them it will hang around for ages.
  20.
