  1. Stick to the log burner unless you have a big property The woodchip boilers are very good but very complex and expensive to fix with lots of things that can go wrong and they do

  4. Just out of interest what sort of through put are some of the bigger chippers getting through I managed three and a half artics full in the day which I guess is about 80 to 90 tonnes if wet Without the soil issue I think I could of managed the extra half load
  5. It is all chipwood no brash I had a problem on sunday with lots of soil going through , it really takes the edge off the blades and more the quality suffers I try to release the grab a bit , but dosent always work
  6. I am just about to order my new roofmount for feeding the chipper My question is , are the biomass grabs worth using rather than the standard ones are they that much better ?
  7. Thanks Dent I need to replace all 4 matching , it does break on all 4 wheels , I think it is electronic
  8. Does anyone run 42" rims on a t series valtra I do a lot of road mileage now and the old tyres are bald So I am after a new set , and was hoping the taller wheels would give me a better top speed / or economy , but the local valtra dealer said this wont work as the computer will know and slow it down . I find this very hard to beleave does any one know any better ?
  9. The 7m reach crane is £19700 + vat but in the spec sheet I got it has a 6.7 m reach the 8m which has an 8m reach is £23000 + vat plus £3500 optionl front tank and pump
  10. Brushcutter It is a chipped up t170 , I am going to get a large toolbox/ weight to fit on the front linkage I don't know how the pump would work I guess off the crankshaft ? The thing is that it is an extra £3500 + vat !!

  18. Just seen this for sale in davies implements ltd Towable Hakki pilki with Honda engine
  19. Just got a quote back from wilsons today for a roof mount , do you think it is worth spending the extra £3500 for a front mounted pump or not ? I will only use it for feeding a chipper probably 2 days a week, they are full days but I am lifting light weight timber , any thoughts please
  20. If you like the rs200s have a look at the pikes peak rs with over 1000hp awesome
  21. Good point , I suppose type of timber also oak is harder to cut and split compared to ash or sycamore , and wet or dry ?
  22. I use a palax combi . In an 8hr day I can do 30 cube bags with someone feeding me ( not bacon butties ) no log deck and in a muddy field mostly small stuff In contrast we also filled 50 vented dumpy bags on concrete , filling 3 at a time on extende pallet forks , an hour for dinner , starting at 8.30 and a 4.30 finish If you have a log deck and the optimum size timber you should exeed this . Depending how hard you work You have to remember this machine is very physical to use . most other machines have infeed conveyours this can slow the process down
  23. Gray Git What about matt black and a red stripe A- team style De du de der der der der d der
  24. Gray was the back alloy as I am going to the scrappy on Monday Or would anyone on here like to buy the old body
