  1. All the best safety gear on my sites. Used high lifts for years dexta but found I was constantly replacing the wood bit and more so recently as the quality has gon down so much, made myself 1 but just like the plastic as light easy to see on the ground and hammer in easy. Mostly just a backup as 5-1 did most of the pulling and if it's really bad iv got a 20ton stubby bottle jack which lifts any tree you ask it too. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  2. 5.2 t jon, yes robs wedges best iv had for years as ain't smashed 1 yet. That photo looks like paul has captured one of them there pesky little tree nymphs ;-) sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.

  5. 7610 or 6610? Love that almost silent whoosh before the big crash! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  6. Could be the alternator is not producing the right amps till its warmed up to run the stress control speed sensitive wizardry Just call gm and speak to the service lads, they know there stuff and sorted the stress control problems on my quadchip over the phone no hassle. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  7. Glad that's all cleared up now, well done jon Did you by chance get lost on way out and have to detour past the main stage for a bit of musical entertainment? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  8. Ah men in sheds ingenuity rules again  sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  9. Not many crane drivers like that so you got lucky. Must be nice too have the ££ on a job to get crane in, was it just a time thing or was the tree unsuitable to be rigged down? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  10. I had problems at a comp and spoke to dmm about it as 1 was only a few days old, same as said just tree crud getting in the workings, nature of the job I'm afraid. Don't tell the wife but I bunged a few wedged open in the dish washer and that cleaned the things out excellent then when dry a bit of graphite. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  11. Can anyone tell me the paint code for G4 orange? Called landrover and can't/won't tell me without going to there dedicated spray shop with the parts to spray. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  12. That's the 1, award yourself a gold sticky star tommy sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  13. Nice video Paul, some good clips in there, just have a look at 3.28 and spot the potentially dangerous mistake. Any you a council arb or just get that sort of contract, looks some nice places to work. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  14. Used to hate that when I freelanced for a bit.. "Yes we have everything you need, just use our gear to save you charging us for yours" and you turn up and they have nowt so it just makes your life harder. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  15. Petzl Pantin Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  16. Nice video, hate poplars also and working over ponds more so. Looks like you could have done with a pulley for some of them larger bits as that bend ratio over a beener mustn't have been doing the line any good. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  17. Lovely little village called skeeby, notorious for its speed bumps and flooding bridge. Scorton is nice, good pubs! Little lad gos to preschool there. I grew up just outside aldbrough St. John just north of the 66. Sent from my iPad using Arbtalk
  18. Sure thing rich, would be good to meet. Think it could be the same site as kit mentioned it a while back, much nicer in summer. Got some work too do for landowners soon so will get something sorted. That beech won't be around for ever as got early onset of the big G sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  19. It's blue tongue which is a little over 11mm so self tends so well, fancy trying some poison ivy but don't know any1 who uses it. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  20. Thanks lads, Ian as silky says enjoy every climb! But just for fun not as often as id like. Hope to organise a rec climb in tgat tree and or a few others on that site around end August beginning sep if I pull me finger out ;-) sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  21. Yes that's the Zillon on my side strop. Works very will even when the roap is soaking wet it behaves the same. I'll admit I was never keen on the roap that came with it so have now swapped out for some 11mm tackion in bright orange which is so much smoother particularly when releasing under full load and is much easier to spot among ivy or.leaves sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  22. ZigZag recriational climb: Have a watch of this, just me having a play with some toys. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  23. Just avoid side loading the chain links, had a good long talk to petzle at the arb show and a good read of the findings from extensive testing some of which involved cutting bits out of the chain links and it still held up. Remember the original recall had nothing to do with the recent problem which in truth seems quite isolated. I have total confidence in mine, probably more so than the hitchclimber as it grabs every time without dressing and definitely more than my lockjack which dropped me a few times when knocked. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  24. Is that the 8 400 chipper? I recon you'll fill that trailer in about 8min with the right stuff too chip! Bit of a head blag to reverse the whole thing. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  25. No that's what Paul needs for his phone to save charging as much! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
