  1. I have a great problem with this chainsaw licence. When I started back in 1993, I refused point blank to operate a chainsaw until I went and got the licence. Soon as I did, and got all,the safety gear, it became apparent that no one else had bothered, and I also discovered it is impossible to report anyone using them dangerously. No one want to know. The final straw came when I had to clear a fallen ash that had landed in council parkland. The tree officer requested a copy of my licence, which I gave him , only for hi to tell me it had expired. It hadn't, they actually do not have an expiry on them, but he said it had. I ignored it, and just cleared it up with the avant, no chainsaw needed. So getting back to thread, no I think anyone can use a chainsaw anywhere without redress
  2. Shake the bottle vigorously first to pre mix it, the open and pour, unless pouring in cornflakes. But I like to add double cream to my flakes!
  3. I am going to have to pull you up on your milk fact. Firstly, you are nearly there, buy proper milk, all this skimmed and semi skimmed rubbish does no good at all, but for the best cup of tea, use milk delivered in glass bottles. It's not homogenised, so really does give a better taste. I buy the gold top from my milkman!
  4. No, but I am thinking if getting that just for roots, and keeping the exisiting one for ripping up concrete etc
  5. Agreed. Have one on my micro, and essential tool on stumps
  6. Nice to see a company answering the question for all to see, not just refusing and telling you to ring a number!
  7. Yep. Agreed. I reported someone selling a dangerous machine with all the safety removed, and suspect stolen as refused to give me the serial number. They did nothing
  8. Cheers. I think that's the crowd I was thinking of. I thought I would get the two sets I have spare sent off, then replace on the machine. I do them every 25 hours as a rule
  9. Sure this has been asked before but cant find it. What's the best place to use for chipper blade sharpening? Seen one that does free collection, what's everyone's experience?
  10. I wondered if that may be the case. Will give it a go
  11. Anyone know how to stop the throttle lever automatically backing off on a 1999 entec 6" , same as timberwolf , other tha hold it down with a bungee cord??
  12. I couldnt eber go back to a geared tractor. Hydro is so much easier !
  13. This is the st401 had the stv32 before, which was 32hp, this one is 40. It got a fast road speed compared to a lot of tractors this size. Its hydro also. Its th biggest in this range they do.
  14. Took delivery of this mid March, ordered in October. Always had a cabless tractor, but wanted a bit of luxury. No longer get wet, cold, sunburnt or will suffer from hay fever again when grass cutting! Now got to pay for it, with not much work whilst the lockdown is in place ☹
  15. Is it that noisy to need ear defenders out if interest?
  16. Well no, fr Jones dont ask for a licence, but my local dealer does, so I depends on the retailer I guess
  17. What does the diagonal wire do on the corner?
  18. But, there is ni way there are going in straight, in that video it goes all over the place. You need a guy with a level to set it with the first Knocks
  19. Bet you an buy without the licence unlike stihl
  20. I assume on your own these are not accurate in getting them dead upright?
  21. Jen is very bendy! And Victoria, well I couldn't agree more!
  22. For me, it would be jen pringle ( anyone who has small children who watch channel 5 milkshake will know what I mean!), Victoria coren Mitchell, Jodie whittiker!
  23. not the best image, but my tractor weighs just over 1 tonne. I have to put 100kg of weights on the front or the steering is too light. This model doesn't have a stabilizer leg, but two feet that it rests on the ground. I have since had the feet modified so they can be shortened so you can bang posts in right up against an existing fence. I paid 3k for it, but that was 2008! It still looks good and works as it should. I only run the tractor on tick over too
  24. I think 120. Yes it's got the telescopic mast will bang in 10ft posts. It weighs in at around 400kg alltogethdr
  25. What he said. I run a p30 on a kubota stv32, perfect machine for the tractor. Wont do a gate post unless you pre drill, at least not round here it wont!
