  1. Yep spot on. I specified that for my cabstar, it dealer got a third party specialist to fit a head using and camera, so it wasnt even a factory fitted part like it was supposed to be, but it carries the Nissan 5 year warranty, so cant complain!
  2. Thanks I have a policy in vehicles, I lease from new for three years, buy it at the end, keep it another year, then start again, so it may not be much of an issue, but I am leaning towards man now!
  3. Is this the new shape one?
  4. Did it render the truck unusable till it was fixed?
  5. How much was that to hire?
  6. Looks good. Who did the conversion?
  7. I had heard that they were crap on electrics. Might be narrowed down to man then. Got a few years to go yet, but was sitting here bored so thought I would do some research.
  8. It will need to be nearest equivalent to my double cab cabstar. From what I have researched, the fuse is a non starter , you cannot remove the rear seats, you cant have sat nav, rear view camera, and when I enquired, bluetooth wasnt even an option! Toyota too small, and no double cab option
  9. I think reinforced suspension is an option which may help
  10. Well, it will be about three years time, so should be lost about, although I have always brought new.
  11. They may well be, but seem to offer more extras
  12. I haven't, but looking at the 3.5tonne crewcab tipper. Hino I believe make larger trucks
  13. Sitting here contemplating the future of what truck to get when the current ones lease expires. Always had double cab cabstar, but as they are no longer made, i need an alternative. For me, it comes down to either the iveco, or man. Hear lots about iveco, but not so much about man. The latter has an extensive list of extras which look tempting, but how reliable are they?
  14. 4inch cordless angle grinder. Invaluable for on site sharpening, cutting chainlink fence, or wire from a grinding wheel!
  15. And they say petrol engines in these big chippers is The way forward!
  16. Sorry to hear that, they must be doing something wrong, or have never applied.but round here, they get Grant's for all kinds of stuff, leaving land fallow, not cutting hedges every year, leaving headlands sprayed etc, that's on top of the subsidies. I have relatives who are arable farmers, last year brought two brand new 150hp tractors, year before brand new disc harrow, year before that, brand new tele handler. I see it all the time round here, and some buy a piece of kit, and leave it out in a field to rot.
  17. Register as a farmer. They get all the money. Yet to meet a poor one!
  18. I burn old fence posts on mind all the time. It's well seasoned, so burns a treat.
  19. I have fitted trickle charge solar panel to the front of both my trailers, and it seems to keep the battery in top condition even in winter
  20. Looking at that first option, looks too cheap to me to be used commercially. Ok for the homeowner I guess
  21. Fast food place not far away, " abrakebabra"
  22. Saw one in the cotswolds that said on one side " yesterdays meals on wheels" and on the back " we'll suck, you'll see!"
  23. But I found the opposite. Horses for courses
