  1. Here you go ... http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/46824-firewood-sort-northallerton.html Only 15 trips and its right on your doorstep. They'll even pay you to take it.
  2. Which model year were the 200t's that had the dodgy batch of carbs please? Cheers.
  3. Link doesn't work.
  4. Its a Norse 3.5 tonne winch.
  5. At last, someone with a sense of humour. The other posters must be anally retentive. ... well, the majority of them.
  6. You could add another ring to your system. Spread the load a bit ..... Stein 25kn 46mm Aluminium ring | F R Jones and Son
  7. 2 x 30 = 60. If someone wants to pay you £30 per tonne and they will collect from site, I'd knock their hand off.
  8. So, you have a 90' plus tall, 4'6" diameter beech in the middle of a front lawn, a client who will pay pretty much anything to get it down, and a firewood man who will pay you £60 per tonne for the wood and he will collect it from the site. You don't get opportunities like this every day. Make sure you don't chip anything over 3" and tell the client they can have the chips as mulch. Let us know how you get on.
  9. 254 there.
  10. Which other part of your body were you considering fastening a work positioning lanyard to, apart from your waist.
  11. On the other hand, its a 90' beech tree at 4'6" dbh. In the middle of a lawn. Priced correctly and done properly, it could be very profitable. We need pictures.
  12. No dig, no grinder policy eh? Sounds like a job for an eggcup full of fertiliser and diesel. Each. Stand well back, etc..
  13. This is a fishing trip. If you know how to do the job, you will know how long it will take you. If you know how long it will take you, you will know what your costs are. Apply your margin and give your price. If you can't make your mind up about any of the above, then pass the job on to somebody that can. Thats my observation.
  14. Nice one Silky.
  15. That's true. However, in some circumstances the bigger grinder can be counter productive, as it tends to spread stuff far and wide. Get the stumps done quicker but makes clearing up a longer job. Not a problem on a site clearance, but a load of big stumps in a garden ...... It all depends on the job.
  16. Good machine, get a lot done with one of those.
  17. Is it the one in the picture? 7015 or 8018?
  18. You can have as much work as you like if you're are willing to work for nothing. The last time I hired a P28 it was £140 plus vat. The hire insurance was 15%. £21 The machine is going to use fuel during the day, for ease of calculation, lets just say it uses 39 litres at £1 a litre for Red. £39 Lets say you use £20 of diesel in your truck during the day to get to and from the site / sites. That's £220 plus vat before you start. .... before the operator charges for his own time, replacement teeth, factors in risk to reward for sub-contracting the stump job where underground services could be hit or his machine could be damaged, etc, etc .... Ok, you'll get a bit of vat back on the fuel, but you see my point.
  19. Dean, is it part of an area TPO, is it an individual TPO'd tree, or has it been TPO'd by the L.A. to stop you felling it after you giving a 211 Notice to fell?
  20. If its a 50, I wish I'd known last week he was available at that price. I would have put him up in a hotel for a couple of days and stood his diesel there and back to Yorkshire.
  21. So is it a Predator 28 or a 50, then?
  22. Sorry, I havn't had that machine for 5 years. The instruction book and wiring diagram went with the machine.

Phil in Fletcher Stewarts workshop would know, if he's still there.

But Fletchers don't import Kwik Chips (T.S.) anymore somebody else does, and they are now yellow and badged up as Tunnissen.

If the digital box is the same type, setting it is quite simple if you follow the steps I put in that old thread.

  23. The entire assembly is listed as 501 87 40-05 in my parts list. I have ordered parts before and some numbers have been replaced. All the other individual components have a part number, apart from the main plastic cover! Not much help, i'm afraid. You'll probably have to buy the whole assembly and keep the other bits for spares.
