What a shame. First thing would be ground care, strip out the turf around it and mulch 2" with rotted chip. Elms are a valuable butterfly resource. That will help ease its water demand and stop taking nutrients from the tree. K -

Even on the Stihl Red , they dont turn out like that . My McCullouchs on Mineral 40:1 looked better after a year ( overhaul time ) K

Any and All site hazards should be identified. Work perimeter should be noted. Not sure if these arguements are on responsibility or decision to short cut. Either way it makes paperwork indefensible or a claim undefendable. K

They actually did a bloody good track and trace of the incident, which identified those contacted. But Dr had not been vaccinated sadly. K

Think a better quality 2/ oil in future, but only ever saw that with salt comtamination on alloy ? Obvs not tho. K

Looking at that outbreak of Smallpox in Glasgow in tbe 50s i would say its similar. Lot of people died fron one causal person mostly because they hadn't been immunised. Including the Dr. K

If you don't mind relocating and get an inexpensive place ti stay it could turn out well. That area is nice, with plenty of well healed residents only other question is do you use Forst chippers 😳 K

Take a 500mm diameter tree at breast height, or 1.5m if you have no breasts like me, x12 is 6000mm or 6m, double this if you want to actually protect the tree's health. Mark it out with powdered lime and photograph it, then file yr report on that day before Johhny Diggerman parks his Taeki ouchi in the zone n drips deisel all over. K

Still replace the fuel pipe ( obvs filter is flowing well ! ) and the puffer pipe if it has one ( impulse or vaccum pipe ) could be a crankcase seal too . K

@Roughhewn cable logging is complex to set up anyways, lot of good reasons to use balloons ( wetland /rivers etc) but its where the timber ends up and at what price 😕 K

Fab video 😊 Its in the US Forest services manuals, think only bother is yr weather conditions and handling the balloon on the ground as leaky balloons expensive on helium. K
