That might be up to you or what saw comes with, coppice cutting wants a faster chain speed, so thats bigger drive sprocket n shorter bar. I would choose yr saw then get the bar swapped. Agree with you on Stihl, over priced. Husqy 435 would be good. Simple saw. Makita also or Echo. In the same engine size. K

Yes. Coppicing you want a lighter saw , butt sizes 12" to 15" ( poles or short wood ? ) ? Go for something around 40cc , bent over all day aint fun . K
