  1. No. It just gives Stihl chance to put a squiggly 'i' on the cases so you can look big and clever..... ? k
  2. I meantioned earlier abt x3 bar cuts in another thread. After a few of those, thought about doing Large Tree Fell, asked assessor if worth it ? He said " how many you done already? ( abt 20 by then) well, i have done 4 and one of those was simulated. I wouldnt bother" this was when it was 800 quid to do ? K
  3. Did you get a free garden shed with that house? My sister did with hers. K
  4. ... Wont buy one then. Probably not notice it in Arb, but in For, yr screaming nuts off it most of the day ? K
  5. Just fill it with chip n go to weighbridge to get weight, spray a load line as a guide. Not fool proof but least you wont load silly weight. K
  6. @drinksloe you sayin those 500i gobbling fuel ? K
  7. They bloody are ! An not with me near it ! Watsons turned up and wouldnt let us cut them , they got big saw out n just step cut it and ran K
  8. Thats a different job Bob, any value timber volume will be cut different, upside down gob etc, one off arb stuff is often on a push fr time. Timber saving on For is crucial, Arb is just get it in the truck n go. Bat Willow particularly. K
  9. ...... More of a Leg-end these days Sam , but was a good drop. Thinkin yr way thru a job is the key, wot ever it is. K
  10. Why thankyou ! Poynter was gonna climb n dismantle it but i said ' fvvk that itll take two days an you will be knackered' so we dropped the fence n felled it into the field. Much easier ? k
  11. Honestly could not ever think of a time or place for one, outside of a strip club ? K
  12. Use the smaller saw every time. K
  13. .... Always been happy at 5 foot 8 mate ? K

    Aspen 40:1 mix

Always ran my McCullough s on 40:1 mineral ( 1980 to 1990s) no bothers at all, however 50:1 red Stihl seems to run engines fr years( 1990s to 2020s) . No need to change wot aint broke. Is really down to the servicing, not yr oil. K
  16. Always poke center of hinge out - wether it needs it or not - little strand left makes pounding in that wedge much arder. K

    Jokes???

He got a fear of donkeys that Stubby , no wees in the dark in Nazareth fr him K
  18. @aspenarb boss knew full well I didnt have it - werent bothered as long as jobs got done - oddly a view I have come across many times with tree companies . I have abt 30 fells x3 bar length , like that one under my belt - one Lombardy poplar did go wrong and stripped side off another tree , but competent ??? Who can say . K
  19. Hinge warning marks visible , near that dodgy looking shake in the butt , bit of softness in center too K
  20. Stihl 036 18" bar , it can be done - just didnt fancy shapening the 066 28" if I hit a nail K
  21. 136 feet ? Stihl 036 with 18" .. dear me K
  22. Big insurance fell, afterwards swore would be my last ........... only having CS30 an CS31 appen.....
  23. Not had a real blow out fr years but the big redwood was closest i got ? will find pic ? K
  24. Yup. X3 bar length is doable, whittle root flares down if you need to get yr saw in, plus that reveals any rot, sharp chain always! K
  25. .... The truth is usually in yr pants after ? K
