1. I dont think that anyone should be at all unhappy with £50 a day when starting a totally new career! Sounds like you got fairly lucky to me,
2. How many climbers will you have each day? 2 trees a day should give you plenty of time to get the job done, I would invest in a set of telescopic poles with a hand saw head attachment, can save you an enormous amount of time and also allow you to remove even the smallest pieces at the very tips. Unless you really want to climb around the whole tree
3. Theres people working behind the tills in Aldi etc that get a better hourly rate than some tree lads I know! When I was in college (about 13 years ago) we were getting told back then to expect £450-500 a week, I'm still waiting on that one I would only ever use subby climbers that I already know so I have no experience in employing a newbie, although I have seen plenty over the years while working for other firms. You can tell within about 10 minutes of someone getting up a tree whether there any good or not. We used to train a few lads while on the job, the good ones would allways be asking if they could climb at any point in the day ie while they were on a break. The poor ones used to say something like " err no I'm not climbing that since I dont get paid to climb yet" "Yeah and you never will with that attitude", and that would be us just suggesting they have a climb (not do any cutting) while we supervised.

Cheers for the info I will deffo give them a try Ditto the wrapping around your arm bit as suggested, also give it a bit more pelvic thrust A quick but VERY unsafe way is to do what batman and robin do ie just pull yourself up quickly A bit like this
11. With Internet Explorer go to -Tools/internet options the content tab, click on autocomplete in the personal information box and check all boxes are ticked. If they're already ticked try clicking clear forms and clear passwords, this WILL wipe ALL passwords and ALL forms. I doubt I'm a genius so I must be a geek (well only if it works I suppose)
12. What type of gloves are they? I hate climbing in gloves but its probably down to not using the right ones. I think I could do with some help on my grip Plus its getting a bit 'nippy out' and I'm a wuss when it comes to the cold
13. It may sound stupid but look at exactly where you want it to go whilst throwing. You need to like 'will' it there
