We had about 500 ton of chip stored on a golf course , it will be well rotted down by now was a few years ago since we last stopped dumping there.

I'd just ask the local tree lads, wont do any harm. I've just given 5 ton of pop away today, most other small firms around here dont have the space or time to store and split timber. A lot of them pay to get rid of it.

Tbh I'ts the first time I've ever been biten in my life, It was just a nasty little **** of a dog. Barking and having a go at everyone, I reckon it would have fitted into the chipper with a squeeze

You may also find that insurers tell you to "get lost" in the event of trying to claim and not have proof that you have undertaken any training. Just because people have been in the industry for years doesnt mean they are doing it right. It's like most things in life nothing matters and nobody cares until something goes wrong! Look at all the unisured idiots on the road that dont need a license because they "know" how to drive. I'm not having a go at anyone but this day and age it's best to cover your back since thats what everyone else is doing.

If you ask me (which I know your not ) then I'd check to see how much the stems are forcing each other apart. If it looked like a prob then I'd remove the smaller one, othererwise it will probably split and end up in the road. A nice unusual tree though, pity it's so close to the footpath and road. Or I suppose it could be braced.

18 months? I thought it would have well start to turn to compost by then.

I think "woodmans lung" is a respiratory disease, not sure though. Will have to google it -
We used asda,morrisons etc cheapo oil but I found the crankcase's on the 200t and 046 started leaking. The gasket between the casing's had been sucked in because of a vacuum in the oil tank. Switched to chain oil seems to not be a problem anymore. Requires a total strip down of the saws to replace a £2 gasket .

If I had to work to every part set out and so did the client I dont think anything would get done! The price would probably go up ten fold Might be of some use though

No worries mate, just dont get TOO excited about using a BIG saw, thats when you wont be concentrating enough.

I dunno you can still get a good bit of kickback with a big bar. I dont think you can compare it to a 020 since most accidents happen when using it one handed. I was more talking about the user (nuggsy) rather than the actual saw, he doesnt seem to be the safest person about (no offence mate )

Not really a hidden cost but to prevent one never ever ever listen to any of those idiots who phone you up saying "Do you want to advertise on our calander, wall planner,we send booklets out to schools, we send booklets out to the planning office, we send booklets out to estate agents etc etc blag blag blag." All garbage.

Not being funny mate but I think you want to take it easy with the big saws. Dont want to be another statistic Husky is a 120cc, just look at the model number with husky's 3120 120 cc etc.
