    Jokes???

A welshman gets washed up on a desert island with just a sheep and a collie dog for company, after a few days he starts to feel a little frisky and starts eyeing up the sheep, the collie dogs instincts kick in and it wont let him anywhere near the sheep. The following morning to his delight a beautiful young girl is washed ashore "can you do me a favour" asks the welshman "anything you want" says the girl "can you take this bloody dog for a walk"
  9. aga much wenlock classic, only just had it in so dont know yet.
  10. i use 4"x 4" posts 2.4m apart (4.8 rails) 6"x1" gravel board if they want it and D rail as a capping, a mate of mine made up a jig for spacing the boards, its basicly a length of angle iron with a handle on with a hole drilled top and bottom, and 13mm nuts welded over the holes and then two bits of thread bar screwed into the nuts, will try and post a pic.
  11. that sounds a good price for a caper, steve i,ve got a mate whos a distributer for ocean kayak if you were a bit closer i may have had a good deal for you

  15. I once cut short a days pheasant shooting to help a mate whos chipper had broken down in the middle of a job, and get on really well with local tree companies, when someone drove into the back of my chipper the other day another mate borrowed me his straight away, and hes borrowing mine this week, i think we should all help each other where possible.
  16. that one is a bit far for me, looks a good day though, my first game fair of the year is normally the west country game fair in shepton mallet show ground
  17. used to make loads of walking sticks, honey suckle twist is rare on holly, with holly because its such a wet wood i used to varnish it first to slow down the drying out process, because they tend to split, but then after drying for about a year holly normally looks better with the bark removed and then varnished with coulered varnish or mix a bit of coffee powder in with varnish to get a nice colour.
  18. whats wrong with caravaners:

  22. had a golden eagle on my arm once, in a local wildlife park (the one anna ryder richardson runs now) the guy told me that the eagle would soon start squeezing my arm knowing that it would get a bit of meat, when it did start squeezing with its talons OMG made my arm feel like a matchstick, would hate to be hit by one at speed
  23. i find it better to give a price for the job instead of x amount a day, if you give a day rate and you finish the job early they think they have "got" you for the rest of the day
  24. i,d be up for that tim
  25. theres a guy in crosshands selling alder cordwood, about £30 a ton, not sure how long hes had it or if alder is any good
