  4. the first 2 pic is what i call a light pollard i hate seeing it everyone round here has it done its ever the customer that wants it looking like that or it the tree services round here have forgotten how to reduce and shape i cant work it out i understand light pollarding on say willow and pop but why a nice copper beach (sorry chaps just felt like a moan)
  5. i use to have a 024 with a 16inch bar for everything. i got offered a job witch i done most of the work on this site apart from a row of pops had to get someone else in to do them to pollard didnt climb at this point anyway. i took 2 days off work to watch and ask Q and see if i could learn somthing, the groundy roped me in both days to help (i always keeped me 024 with me) the man on the ground called fred (use to be josh groundy) he ran a 460 with a 20inch bar i asked why run such a big saw 2 reasons he said 20inch bar saves u from bending ur back and it has the power to do most trees u would want to fell sorry about the long story anyway since then i have brought a 441 run a 20 on it i would never change that saw pick it up everytime buy a 441 20inch bar mate :thumbup1:
  6. i have a 441 as my main saw use it for everything even do a bit off milling with it put a 25inch bar on it for that and it fine great saw
  7. 5 hours boy that quick that tree would take me nearly 2 days with my master and chipper clear up and take it away lol what chipper u got on the frount of the mog

  11. imori feels like 13mm rope i brought 35 m of blaze could not get on with it found it hard to grip went back to my 13 mm rope then justin done me a deal on imori when it first come out now i would not change my rope feels like a 13mm so light and feels good in ur hand

  15. that friction cord is the only one that feels rite on the imori for that knot iv tryed about 6 diffrent types of friction cord i get on with it really well

  18. most of my work is in back gardens with little access to the tree i have a jo-beau m400 for this reasion to chip waste but the last 5-6 jobs iv bin asked to price up, iv bin asked to grind the stumps out as well it got me thinking most the machines iv seen that will go throught a gate way are 13hp grinders that look like they take ages to grind stumps out (im only going on what iv seen on youtube) just wondered if any one knowns of a machine with more power and will get the job done quicker iv seen this bandit but that cant be the only machine that looks easy to use and works well any help would be much appriciated cheers martin [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtnW0IkNLr4]YouTube - Bandit Model HB20 Sidewinder Stump Grinder - Quick Clips[/ame]
  19. i use Imori it just feels like a 13mm rope but really light weight but i dont climb on mine day in day out mostly weekends i no josh has climbed on Imori for over a month now might be worth pm him ask him what he thinks of the rope

  22. carbon ones thats what i have if u go for the carbon ones Measure the total length from the arch of your foot to the base of your knee. as there are 4 diffrent sizes. i find i can use them all day with out them hurting(oh and one big thing with them spike u cant walk around while wearing them as stones hard ground rip the carbon to peaces. i place a bit of 2ft-3ft ply at the base of the tree and take spikes of as soon as i get out the tree hope that helps martin
