  1. That's a joke, right?
  2. Bloody obvious, but never thought of it. brilliant. thanks. Is this thread in danger of crashing headlong like a chaotic Juggernaut into that other well informed thread `top tips'?
  3. There's a great book of such emails and letters called `time wasters letters' I recommend it for anyone who appreciates the absurdity of spider payments. this David chap is now on my hero list.
  4. In a dense canopy in summer, wear yellow lenses to increase contrast, making the crown structure more defined.
  5. That'll be millions then. And kids, don't forget the kids.
  6. Lining up the brash in the same direction (as the chipper) always earns points with the ground crew. personally I do it as much as possible. Is this a thread designed to tease those naughty habits out of us? Here's a few. One handed 200t starts, sometimes with teeeth! Throwing the saw into a crotch and pulling on it to move through the tree. Cutting steps into a stem. i could go on, but I have my reputation to think of.
  7. I do beleive this is a famous Yorkshire saying.... "All the world's queer save thee and me, and even thees a little queer". Traditionl too I bet seeing as it's been seen on tea towels and rolling pins.
  8. No no recolection. But I do know a similar band from Bristol called .....Colonel Kilgores Vietnamese Formation Surf Team! When were the `holes' around. Are they still around? I'm off to Google world.
  9. Two tracks ago, did Richard just sneak a boy band into the mix? Thought so. With anxiety!
  10. 100cm. I'm using the ocean poly.
  11. Far out! Geodesic domes, Mexican hammocks, Sweat lodges, Transendental meditation, orgone accumulators! Where will it end? Excellent work. Lets see some pics when its got a cover too.
  12. The 310 is the one I was thinking of. Thanks for the link.
  13. Nice necky shot. Its sureal sometimes isn't it.
  14. I guess the rifle and the landy give the age away. When did you go civilian?
  15. I like the old massive rubber ones. But i saw these... http://www.mobileguru.co.uk/news/Mobile-News-2256.html
  16. Is that you on the roof with the FAL?
  17. I can neither confirm or deny. He He He. No. Not me.
  18. A decent rack is pretty big. Yep they need it all in the alps. But not in Mcdonalds. I'd suggest that any climber stupid enough to eat McDonalds will not be a great climber anyway.
  19. That's hoofin gorgeous!
  20. First in an occasional series of giveaways. Hurrah!
  21. [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IxAKFlpdcfc&NR=1[/ame] stick it to em!
  22. Truly Appalling loss of life. It's a great shame that we never learn. More young men are destined to die because of the incompetence of politicians. Very sad the way servicemen are treated after they have passed beyond usefulness. Some people forget what they were fighting for. Which is a great insult to our war dead They can't pass out pins with the poppies anymore because of health and safety. My poppy keeps falling off.
  23. Errrr. that Bridgeman book is where i sarted. That's all there was in 1984. Shocking. where is the author now I wonder?
  24. 4 stroke was only the Haynes series with rotax engines. very formidable they were too. The thunder they made was amazing. So everyone is riding 4 stroke these days? How do they deal with being upside down? What are the power bands like?
  25. "Look down there darling, that group of men. Have they never heard of a barber chair?"
