  1. If it's a decision between chippers and Chapter 8, do the one you know least about. Looking at the way a lot of firms set up their signs and cones, I'd guess that most of them chose `chipper'. A left field idea would be to go on a non arb course that will in some way inform your arb work, giving you an edge that you wouldn't ordinarily have. Sculpture, fine art, sign language, random stuff is often the way we and others define our value in the workplace. Just an idea.
  2. I think you meant,"I think you meant competent person." Sorry, also couldn't help myself:001_tongue:
  3. Monkey puzzle looks like a twig
  4. Here it be [ame] [/ame]
  5. The dangerous proclimber video? The one where we first met? Yes it was Eisensteinian in its grandeur, a classic, which I have over looked.
  6. No. My values are my values. She doesn't even know I'm on the `talk'. she's curled up with Barak's biography somewhere in my huge mansion.
  7. Yes agreed women do seem to have more probs with those ticket machines. But it's harmless haplessness. Men on the other hand are dangerous fools who have little regard for the laws of physics, let alone of the road.
  8. Who wants to watch 5 mins of arb vid where a tree just stands there, until finaly it falls with a crash? NO-one! Tim understands this very well. This is a airport novel of a video, straight to the action no filler. Excellent stuff Tim. Reg takes adifferent tack altogether with his vids, but still manages to make great watchable films. I think people should see the bar has been set high, by these two guys in particular (obviously tahune day 3 etc is something else) and I'd like to see posters trying to emulate their style (s) Once again great stuff Tim. Love the panoramas too.
  9. great pics mate. excellent scale with the tractor unit. Massive butts!
  10. They were all men driving except for the woman who couldn't park. My wife is one of the best drivers I've ever known. She can parallel park like you wouldn't beleive. It's afunny compilation for sure, just a shame that the cliched title was there. Its like life on mars all over again.
  11. They might be up to 200ft up. I guess they would have to drag the weight of 200ft of rope up and have 400ft of rope to start with. But a 200ft spike is probably very knackering. Brilliant stuff tho. Love to have a go.
  12. Rock n roll drama! Excellent stuff.
  13. Thanks for the links guys. I've got to start taking an interest in such things. I think it will prove provident.
  14. Yes but you live in a country where they hand out free guns in banks without doing psyche tests first. A saw cert would seem very bureaucratic. But then again we have less gun crime. saw crime is on the up tho. Drive by prunings in the innner city.
  15. I know nothing of this subject at all. Does anyone know where I can get a general over view of the wood fuels industry? I'm interested in the costings of these fire bricks v's logs per heat measurement (presumably jules).
  16. Reduced To 7m? Crikey!
  17. Used infrequently? When used, used for light work? Cheap rubbish will do. Any other variable results in you owning a new 200T. Or a silky.
  18. Good news, following a theft is rare indeed. The police clear up rate is appalling. so good news. don't want to Pyss on your chips, but this guy is being taken to court for receiving? Not theft? Receiving stolen goods can happen to anyone, one could argue as I'm sure someone Will, that he is innocent of any wrong doing. We must not lose sight of the fact that he may well be. In this country it's innocent until proven guilty. He might give up the thief or he may not. Glad you got some saws back chap.
  19. No. The day before. didn't you see the grafiti in the toilet? I was writing a song with Bono that day, so missed the Pap pigs thing. Sounds great. 20ft?! some people think we're all idiots on this forum.
  20. This man has a cloth, a begging bowl, a tridant and a chillum. My tip for preventing theft, is to have nothing worth stealing. A bit of old fashioned VIZ logic. They leave doors open in Canada apparently. If people liked each other a bit and were more tolerant, and people were in fact more likable, this would all be irrelevent. Everyone is just looking out for themselves (Thatchers fault) so everyone is just horrible to each other. The hippies should have taken over in the 60's. cept they was all hoofin stoned instead. Idiots!
  21. Awesome. Would be improved with a motion detection video cam.
  22. Dean, even though you were denied your day in court, justice has been done. Poetic justice, When a 91 yr old chap can out live his attacker.
  23. Dogs are being used to steal mens jackets. That's low.
  24. Its completely feasible that within the 180 dead there are a few kiddie fiddlers, rapists and murderers. Their live have been extinguished () by other murderers, making them vigilantes by accident. You are associated with murderers by virtue of having the same values. Imagine if you will that all 180 were murderous scum as detailed above. Would you be applauding them for these deaths? What if they made one mistake? Would this be acceptable? Probably not. Therein lies the biggest flaw of the death penalty; it's not always the guilty that gets it. "Give it to em Chris". That aside, this is horrendous stuff. Not being able to out drive a wall of fire must be terrifying.
  25. Yup!! I love my Tech 9. [ame] [/ame]
