  1. Yes I agree Andy, but I'm way more cynical as to the reasons. At £30 a day, self funding his own tickets, bigging up the boss in public. Not making waves, subservient servile manner, Who wouldn't want an employee like that. With that attitude he'll always be an employee everyone wants.
  2. What's a pollard?
  3. Agriculture??!!! Usual HSE incompetance. Agriculture within its arable guise is horticulture anyway. These stats mean nothing at all. The stats collectors are gazing at shiny things in whitehall. Meanwhile we all bleed to death far from the sound of the farming lobby and tractors.
  4. Can't wait till David Cameron gets in, just for the smuggness that will overpower every emotion I have ever felt. The antichrist is comiing Noah!!Give the bafoons the rudder.
  5. Wouldn't he have just got a power boat and said "you don't exist fatty. up yours" and blasted his way to some ultra rightwing Utopia with a cabin full of crystal meth and hookers. By the sound of it.
  6. Brilliant post Mctree. Imagine swining an axe 200ft up on a stem that hoofin fat? I feel pathetic.
  7. Apparently they've taken gullible out of the English dictionary.
  8. I'm with Dean on this. apart from the cross generation threesome he's obviously wishing for.
  9. The elephant in the room. You might die, but your a surfer. [ame] [/ame]
  10. This is the only post that makes any sense on this thread. Even if your kidnapped and tortured for six monthe before some horrible lonely death, make sure you get some web access and let us know. otherwise it'll all be wasted. Go for it. Pipeline!!!!
  11. That's no insult! show business! too right mate. It's an elite of show offs. Nothing wrong with that. Better than gardening. Hell yes, were a business worth showing for sure. Be proud my brothers in our sexyness.
  12. A night out with the lads. Brilliant stuff. I cant wait to take my son for his first beer. Not the son in the avatar I take it?
  13. Jamie, depth of field on a long lens is wowing the crowd. In many ways much better than macro on a shorter lens. To exagerate the effect, try some fill flash on the subject. that background will go black making the subject pop. nice work mate. What's your set up?
  14. Don't thank anyone in your speech, just publically tell your wife how much you love her. That's all that matters.
  15. Should have shot him in the gonads and let him scream while his entire family and all his friends are slowly tortured to death in front of him, set fire to his house and make him eat his own feet, before finally nailing his tongue to his back side and pouring sulphuric acid into his eyes. In this country he'd have been given a 3 year long cruise holiday to the Bahamas, with 100 super models without gag reflexes. Recklessly discharging shotguns of firearms on the streets is the fantasy of small boys, not grown men. The primal response of violence to any crime is a facet of human evolution we could do with updating. very exciting video though, like a movie. Glad there wasn't a child in the cab, or anyone on the street to absorb the ricochet shot. You ex service guys know that ballistics don't just stop when they hit hard materials like metal tarmac and concrete. I have a good friend in SO19, who knows that there would be lots of injured or dead civilians if British police followed the clichéd American (south African) format of drawing weapons for every arrest. Minority Report?
  16. El Topo. Peyote Westerns are far out gringo. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtGUx4kXIEY[/ame]
  17. I take it you don't do any public speaking? Can I suggest that you just try to express how your feeling at the time. How can you possibly know before hand what you want to say? You don't so don't write a script in anyway. Any script will have to be read, or notes will have to be looked at, the pressure of fulfilling the necessity to fill the air with the sound of the speech, will if your nervous, sound like a speech you wrote before. Like everyone else. Your an individual, thats why your bride to be wanted to marry you in particular. Be that man. Be yourself, let the emotion of the day be your guide and improvise like a jazz cornet player. The spirit of Jazzzzzzzzz oh and congratulations
  18. Just the combi boiler all day with an ex bank robber, which was interesting to say the least. What film did you guys see? I saw rocknrolla last night.

  19. skateboarding, horse riding, building a Spitfire, maiking sweet love, getting pissed, fixing my combi boiler, swearing like a plumber, writing a film treatment. How's about you dear boy.

  20. 8mm on a double rope system surly? No single rope is that thin. I have a single that's 9.5 mm (beal) and that's thin enough thanks. I have a thin arb rope blaze and don't like it as its too narrow to afford a proper grip. I like 13mm for trees. Horses for courses, swings and roundabouts, one man's pooison is another mans new england.
  21. Two passengers bigger than a 10 year old best be good friends. The gay cab I call it.
  22. tell us about the injury!!
  23. I've driven one for years. Lumpy gearbox, tiny cab, fragile plastic fittings and worst of all the mirrors make it wider than a eurocargo. No matter who drives one, the mirrors get smashed. Ok if you dont drive down country roads where dead elm trees wait for Canter mirrors.
  24. AS above re: dynamic stretch, but also although they are both Kermantle construction, they are opposite in where the strength lies. You cant inspect a Rock climbing rope in its core where most of it's strenth is found.
