  6. screws are a superior fixing in my opinion. I love a good countersunk screw
  7. I can't find mention of it on the web. I wonder if it's had a name change due to its overt suggestion. OOOh cottage cheese!!
  8. ditto. I hated idents. I had to remember the names by image association, you know betula pendula..pendulum swinging etc. Anyone know the name Rubus cocburneatus? spelling might be out but you get the idea. That made me laugh lots, plant idents are short on laughs and big on twigs. We were supposed to know 6000 plants full names when we graduated, I think i had abot 1000 and now about 200, mainly trees.
  9. I had some Mecalitos back in the day. I got them for free as I was reviewing them for Essential arb. Scarpa were very interested in climbing comps. I pointed them at the ISA. super boot. Also had the Salomon exits. Not so good. The pro accents are supposedly amazing scrambling boots. You can still find a few pairs about for £40. if you have either freakishly large or small feet. I have narrow feet and can do 4 days without taking them off. Comfy from the box. Nod's AKU suggestion is worth looking into, if he's recommending them, it's worth giving it a go.
  10. I raise a glass to you Ed and your post and to Pat (as we call him in Gairn Mansions) Tree work in the village? why don't you do it any longer? Your a lucky sod in some respects arn't you?
  11. You should be scared. See post #2, second clip. Or get the dvd box set. Complete genius, only a few TV programmes have been so mould breaking. But of course PM was more than no.6. but for me it's always been about The Prisoner.
  12. Her's my son in his house this Christmas. I do a pilgrimage every now and again. Do you have a fave episode? Mine would be the girl that wath death, or chimes. Didn't know about this until I read your post. For anyone not in the know here is a clip from one of the best bits of British TV ever! [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=29JewlGsYxs&NR=1[/ame] her's a weird american giving it a go. [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LSI0HU6io7I[/ame] Lets not forget ice station zebra or Danger man either.

  20. works for me.
  21. This is the very first production Land Rover, chassis number R860001. It was registered as HUE 477. It was sold in the 50's to a farmer in a small valley. In 1970 it changed hands again for the pricey sum of 15 Pounds. In 1995 it was discovered by a small bunch of Series I buffs but it took until 1999 to show it to the public. The present owner, David Fairless, intends to restore it to original condition by keeping as much of the old parts as possible. Read it here... http://www.landroverclub.net/Club/HTML/serie1.htm I think the difference between production landrover and oldest landrover makes all the difference.
  22. like that. Thought it was going to be physics lesson about particle size first, but it became philosophy. Not that I see any difference. Thanks for posting, might use it with the kids at some stage.
  23. Made me laugh. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbP1V79rnic&feature=related[/ame]
