  2. im about to book my cs30 and cs31, 5 days training and assessment £455 all in. the normal price is £505 but you get a discount for paying before the start date or are a regular customer. http://www.kenseytraining.co.uk/index.html

  4. no:thumbsdown: bloody freezing though!!
  5. i think it brings out a lot more detail in the pic. these pics looked quite plain at first then i cropped and converted to b+w. messing about with the contrast and levels brings out a lot more details too.

  12. excellent!! Dagmar, what on earth were you looking for when you came across this?
  13. from what i've read, it just says a sharp retractable knife. in an emergency you may not have the space to use a silky.
  14. one of those dark camera domes placed somewhere out of the way but on view, maybe on the roof, and plenty of cctv signs placed around the property will deter most thieving scum. using a dome camera, the thief doesnt know if its on him or not. you don't even need a camera, just a dome! and if you use padlocks go for abloy over other brands. they are more expensive but are virtually pick proof and cut proof.
  15. poor guy. there was nothing the ground crew could have done to save him. everyone take extra care and double check before each cut:icon14:
  16. There once was an old couple who had been married for thirty years. Every morning the old boy would wake up and give off an enormous fart, much to his long suffering wife's annoyance. "You'll fart your guts out one of these days," she always complained. After a particularly bad week the wife decided to have her revenge and got up early, placing some turkey giblets in the bed next to the old boy's arse. While making breakfast downstairs she heard his usual morning fart reverberate through the floorboards followed by a scream. Twenty minutes later a rather shaken man came downstairs. "You was right all along Missus," the old man says, "I finally did fart my guts out, but by the grace of God, and these two fingers, I managed to push 'em back in!"
  17. no problems here MB. didn't even know it existed until a few mins ago. going to have a look around there now:wave:
  18. heres as video of a tree spade in use [ame] [/ame] i remember seeing something similar in a forestry mag last year. £1 000 000 price tag on it:scared: you could have a second business digging ponds...
  19. heres a link to the story, it also names the firm he worked for. http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/generalnews/display.var.2133936.0.tributes_for_tragic_tree_surgeon.php i wonder if a aerial rescue was attempted by the ground crew.
  20. excellent video:icon14: i like the bit starting at 7:35 when it looks like the top just floats off and is floating on the end of a rope:)

  23. we were talking about this today, a lot of our kit was nicked a few weeks ago and now we are worried about the chipper going. found this link to a tracking unit, not too expensive either considering how much it costs to replace a chipper. http://www.paralleltrack.co.uk/index.php?p=trackbox
  24. after an effective dose of codeine i find its impossible to sleep:thumbsdown: very nice painkiller though.
  25. a portfolio usually shows off previous work, how about including a list of jobs done, description of job and some nice pics? never had to do this before so just an idea.
