  1. I bought it 2 years ago with loader and grab for just under 16K. There's a few places selling them, mine was from Kilworths. Make sure you get wrap around underbody protection, mine just goes underneath, and I have knocked the fuel filter off a couple of times.
  2. Ouch, did you take a big swing? Hope you're back to work soon.
  3. Don't use any detergent or soap with goretex, it will disolve the water repellant chemicals. You're even supposed to clean out the detergent tray on the machine so there is no residue. I do my gortex and ventile in the machine with tech wash and then reproof while they're still wet, tumble dry is supposed to "set"the wax proofer but we don't have one, leaving them by the rayburn is second best.
  4. Here's a couple of pics and a short vid of my alpine on a buliding site on friday. Too muddy to take the van in and with all the diggers and dumpers flying around it was especisally handy to nip in and out with bunches of brash and stay out of their way, good to keep the brash out of the mud too. We stacked the brash all the right way so when I came out it was all pointing the right way for the chipper. Fav Job

Nice work mate, what were the tools / method you used?
  6. No.31 In Dave's guide to considerate loving, available in all good bookshops.
  7. Are they not about £40K though?
  8. There is no definitive answer. Unless a specific qualification is specified in law then you only need to prove competence in court, that will depend on you, your lawyer, and the judge.
  9. The three wheeler:001_smile: Stick Shrecks wee chipper on the back and drive streight up the garden path.
  10. I spliced an eye in my Tachyon, I told the loler inspector that I had done it and he checked it out and passed it, I thing thats good enough. At the end of the day I wouldn't climb on it if I thought it wasn't right.
  11. I did very similar stuff to you with my dad, one of my earliest memories is sitting in the cab of a crawler that my dad was driving, i loved it. I think you need to chill out on the matter. I do wish I was a better swimmer though.
  12. Those stainless steel ones with the pop up button thingy are quite good, but not the small one, cant keep its heat. With the big one I can have a cuppa while sitting in traffic on the way to the job, another couple at lunchtime and what's left is still drinkable by home time.
  13. I understand the principle of an exhaust mod but could someone tell me exactly what you're doing to them? Is it just widening the outlet or are you drilling out the baffle plate too? and if so is 1 big hole in the baffle better than lots of little ones?
  14. Get the conversion and then go to halfords and get the "extreme brilliance" bulbs, 2 for 1 at the moment and well worth the extra cash. They claim to be 90% brighter which I thought was probably bollocks but they really are miles better.
  15. I've replaced mine twice, and yes it is a spring to operate the cam and so is important. I found the best replacement was some sheathed stuff that you can buy off the roll in the larger B+Q stores.
  16. What happened to the missing lamp post?
  17. Mine twists a little, but its not bad, and like Tom says pull it out the wrong way or pull it up while climbing sorts it out. I have used other ropes and they all seem to do it to some extent. Its a major PITA if you climb on both ends, which I dont these days.
  18. Really bad news about the PC. I dont know how people cope being flooded out twice in a matter of years. I took these pics of the Tweed at Kelso on friday it had fallen about 3 feet from its peak by then. There wasn't much rain here most of this came form the west, much further upstream.
  19. As you know, I'll let you know as soon as I have any days for you:001_smile:
  20. I'm using ffdshow, came with the POV I think, but could be wrong. Its def on the PC though.
  21. As far as I know the jonsred saws are the same as the husky semi pro saws like the "Rancher" range.
  22. Very interesting, that could do with more research, using spikes on veteranisation projects could be handy. Yet more great pics mate, next time you're planning one of these jollies let me know I'd be well up for it...... Seriously:001_smile:
  23. Whats the score with the epicormic coming out of thee nicks in the bark? were they introduced deliberately? what sort of percentage took?
  24. If they are ok for reliability they'd probably be ideal for a mill like the logosol, since you don't actualy touch the saw, so no vibe issues.
