  1. I spliced mine a while back, that looks well wrong to me, the inner braid ( white) should run in the opposite direction to the outer, so it runs up throught the burried outer, round the eye and back down into its own bury, this makes the burried section extremely tight, that looks thinner than mine. It was extremely difficult to do and perhaps thets why your splicer made a crap job of it, not wanting to admit he couldn't do it, or he did the wrong splice for that type or rope.
  2. 2 chicks as far as I can tell, the mum was calling them out 2 nights ago, one left then and the other last night, it fluttered don to tha wee pine and sat there all day.
  3. reducing an oak with a split top..
  4. I had a tawny owl nest in my chimney, the pointing is so bad it was able to get into a redundant flue through the side. Re-pointing this year so I'll have to make them a box for next year.
  5. I have a 357 and a 362, tbh there's not much between them in terms of performance. I may make a vid sometime. They're just tools at the end of the day, go for what ever feels right in your hand as you will be holding it quite a lot.
  6. I spank you **** Talk to BT, I have a broadband VOIP line with a dedicated number, so my broadband number starts 05 but it is disguised as an edinburgh number 0131. I also have a borders one as my area code is east lothian. they all go to the same phone.
  7. The last few from yesterday:
  8. Steer clear mate, if someone quobbles about 20p on a phone call, you don't want their custom. 0800's are for companies where a long call may be involved, insurance or customer care for example. Also having a LOCAL number is vital IME, I have three numbers one for each of the areas we cover, depending on where I advertise I put the right number on.
  9. I have a friend who goes out there to work for them once a year for a few weeks, he says they're ok, good climbers who are competetive.
  10. looks great Josh. Who's the guy on the right with the 2 blondes, I think I recognise him from somewhere.
  11. These are surprisingly tough, I have two, the shoulder straps eventually went on both of them, but its not like you carry them far normally. and they are well cheap. Clarke CHT421 - 24" Tool Bag - Machine Mart
