  1. Sorry about the picture quality.. it was the other side of the garden next door....
  2. What ever you choose...use QRMS for really good prices. Stump Grinder | Stump Cutter |
  3. The tungsten chains do go blunt and then you have to send them away to be sharpened. Where are you...I know someone with a stumpy that goes down to 14" wide!
  4. Big gomtaro.... every time. Cheaper with reach and faster cutting...
  5. Sorry qrms for really cheap stumpy teeth...and most sorts except multi tip.
  6. Qmsl for really cheap teeth.
  7. No offence taken... It could also be looked at as a reminder to the experienced peps out there to remind them they are not invincible and kickback from a chainsaw to a body part really hurts and always happens when you least expect it. I remember time when a lot of climbers when they hit their 30's would happily cut and hold with their arm over the bar and end up having it kickback the underside of their forearms, although not life threatening I bet it hurts and they'd lose wages for a while, which could really hurt someone. I even found myself doing that and had to really retrain myself to not do it. Perhaps people should put their bad chainsaw technique into videos but highlight it. I remember college was loads of videos and stories of people making mistakes, I think its quite a good way to learn.
  8. Is it worth taking that risk just to move round a bit?
  9. Yeah, no, that's bad, he could've just gone round to the side, never be in the firing line of the bar when using one handed.
  10. Yeah till it kicks back into your a part of your body It just takes that one time....and no one can stop kickback.. do you want to find out if you can stop it... can I gone on.. and on... I'm just going to look at it again..
  11. Could've used the top of the bar instead.... maybeeee. I'm sure theres a few climbers here with nicks on the underside of their arms and ting.... if you see what I mean.
  12. Towa Activegrip Advance gloves These are the daddies for climbing. The grip takes ages to wear out, you can wash them and in winter you can whack some of these underneath.. 13. Sorry I was agreeing with what you said then put my own price to it... dam my lack of punctuation lessons... But those big machines are amazing.. I remember when Mr Vartan got his 95hp Rayco, we put the clock on it and it did a 3' oak stump in around 4 minutes. Days work 600 ish. no? maybe a bit more now...
  14. As Mick Says...500-600... those big grinders would probably do it in half a day.. same money though...they are £40k machines.
  15. 2nd chris.....he's the man... you need reasonable access for the big machine. Or if you 5' access contact Jonathan Vartan on 07973 289103....he has a seriously big machine will travel wherever you are in the southeast and I think he owns a steam engine as well! What's not to like.
  16. Eeekk. ..one thing to mention.... the one handed top handle use at 2.12.... that's an end game manovere, oh and my daughter said turn the sound down...that's awful music...LOL
