  5. If you wanted to splash out you could get a 'Bear Claw' from Proclimber it will cost you about £35 though! - I've got a krab knife - cost about £7, and is always attached to my harness
  6. John - I have been looking around new estates with dismay as to species / soil types e.t.c. and have come to the opinion that little thought goes into it! (If any??!!!)

  8. John - Great work on the re-pollards, and great photos too. A few years ago I visited Brussells (they have many, of their avenues lined with pollarded trees) And they seem to pollard as a matter of course out there as the re-growth showed that they obviously planned their works over the right period of time.

  12. First Aid at Work - 4 day. Full 10 man First aid kit with foil blankets & 1 survival bag also just in case. Personal first aid kits with bloodstopper bandages, plasters, bandage tape & eye wash.
  13. One additional thing - put your chain brake on whilst sharpening - you need to file the cutters edge without it moving with pressure

  20. Sorry to hear this 18 Stoner! Can you or your parents claim on insurance? I know what I would do if I caught anyone thieving from me......and I would probably get done for it. I always think that 'what goes aroung comes around' they'll get theirs
