  1. Depends on whether you pack it carefully or not but that is the size of the bags. There are quite a few different sized bags about, I have 90 x 90 x 90
  2. I've run petrol equipment at 50 to 1 for the last 20 years and had not one seizure

  5. Try fitting an "F" and "B" on the tooth as well for front and back, nightmare
  6. I'd presume that the nut will pass straight through anyway without digesting any Cyanide

  12. I can't harvest mushrooms Tom, I don't know their latin names so wouldn't have a clue what I'm doing . Joking aside, Fungi has always frightened me to death because of all the horror stories you hear. Cheers for the Heads up Andy, I'll try and get hold of that
  13. Yes, so numpties know when to stop and start filing.
  14. I have a theory that because we rely more upon processed food and very few people harvest natural fruits that occur all around us we miss out on natural chemicals and antidotes which, without us knowing, guard us from different ailments. I went out with the dogs today for a short walk and couldn't believe how many raspberries, black berries going to waste and rotting away. I was stuffed and had purple lips and finger tips when I got back home. I do think we are missing out on natural remedies and am always curious. I believe that the increase in eczema and such ailments are caused by bad diet of the parent during pregnancy, no scientific study of course, just a theory.
  15. I have no formal education but am far from a heathen I assure you To me studying the biology of trees is far more important than learning latin names parrot fashion. Latin names can be referenced. In my opinion, if you memorised the Latin name for every tree, shrub, plant and fungi you'd have no room left for the IMPORTANT stuff. I know many common genus, if I need to know species or a Genus I've never come across round here I'll reference it thank you
  16. First batch which I have now cut into slices to dry. It is palletable at the mo but is supposed to get sweeter as it dries and ages.
  17. The Black and Decker tent gets some stick don't it? Yes the pickers up at 60ft and was ratchet strapped on top of the cage. It was a lightweight radio controlled trap sending them out high and fast, took many people all day to hone in on the target, I broke the clay first shot of course. Hard day but I just love seeing people enjoy themselves.
  18. I dleivered two level builders bags full at £50 each bag. I was £55 below the previous quote for the same amount, he also told me coal had doubled in price, whether this be true I don't know.
  19. I find it so much easier to call an Oak an Oak, a Willow a willow and Dog puke Fungus Dog puke Fungus though Tony Phillistine ?? What d'you mean, Phillistine ??
  20. Everything went well Richard thanks. Had a good day. Me and the Keeper (a while ago) decided we'd have a day when all the guns on our shoot would get together and have a drink and a chat and invite family and friends to have a go on the guns etc. 5 years on it's got bigger every years and has turned into a mini show. This year we had a Firearms demo, gundog demo, blackpowder, Flyfishing, birds of prey, ferret race, raffle, clay shoot, archery, airrifle range, quad bike rides etc We managed to raise £1600 and had 200 to 300 visitors. Below: The beer Tent and Barbeque The High bird shoot on my MEWP Me proving that the High Bird is shootable Gamekeeper Ricky during the Gundog Demo, with the Blackpowder Demo in the background. ..and the last is the Beautiful setting for the Venue within 3500 acres Next year, we will have foxhounds and a few sponsers have shown an interest in having some small information stands. I always try to get around other shoots beating etc but this year, from 1st oct, every weekend is now booked up shooting till end of january so my diary is tight this year. Thanks for the invite though Richard, if I get some time I may take you up on it.
  21. Why are we still using Latin names for things? Learning the latin names akes the learning process so much harder, especailly with fungi.
  22. Cheers for that Andy, I'm off to get some now
  23. Tight Bitch! Good story Dave, which shows you pay for skill, not labour. As a good business man, you will take all things into account, there is a line on any job or a threshold between charging too much and doing a good price and your "chipping brash for a neighbour" who has done the job themselves demonstrates that nicely. The price should (although the customer may not realise it at the time) "save" the customer money because of the skill and equipment you have over others, but dear enough to cover your business hourly or daily rate. Five minutes chipping for £30 is cheaper than a £70 mini skip. I am talking about the "we'll beat any genuine quote" mongers in my references to asking prices, which in my view is totally "cowboy" We all start with some hit and miss pricing, (and still don't always get it right) you will now have a daily target to hit to cover your business overheads taking into account everything, breakdowns the lot, anything you can achieve over that, without being "over" priced is good business. It's establishing where the threshold is between being good value for money and being over priced which is the challenge. But thanks for your thoughts anyway Mate Did you get your multitools BTW and did you like what I wrote on the address? Ie: Cheaper than
  24. Can anyone remember the Hawthorne berry Cake Ray Meeres made on one of his survival programs. He got the berrys and mushed them in a bowl, cant remember whether he strained them or added anything but he flattened the goo out and dried it to make a flapjack type cake, which stored for ages. Has anyone got the exact procedure, seen as how the berries are ready for harvest I thought I'd make some, supposed to be quite nice.
