  2. Aye but they've had a hard life, their daddy conifers worked 30 hour days and never had enough nutrients to feed t'kids, they had to share one nutrient between three and their water uptake was out of a muddy puddle and thats when it wasn't frozen Sorry for jumping in Lee, it had to be said

  5. How embarrassing..... My allsinging all dancing Nokia N900 has just messed up and it's all Tommers fault I have just gone onto the OVI app to see if there were any apps to be had and it said I had to update the device through APP Manager first. I did that and updated the system WITHOUT backing up and nowevery minute or so it pops up a message saying that it cant send or receive message because memory is full. This is despite all the memories being nearly empty including in and out box, been online and a few people have had the problem so I've had to contact Nokia support and till they get back to me I'm using my old N96 Cheers Tommer
  6. Oh dear !! I've only one word to say, "tyres" I can lock all diffs on the landcruiser and it will get stuck in an inch of mud with silly road tyres on. A 4x4 is only as good as the tyres it has on Anacondas

  11. Todays smart phones are nothing like yesterdays smart phones so you cant compare, the benchmark was Apps I have bought a phone with all those list above and its not an Iphone, its a nokia, I just have to wait a while for the apps to come along for them. I was going to wait for the google phone but couldn't, Im not slagging the iphone, it's just been pushed and pushed via advertising and promotion to the point where everyone has one rather than waiting to see what the competition brings
  12. You sell all your crap, get down to basics then buy another load of crap
  13. Just got to wait ten years now for a decent size hedge
  14. Coronet cuts........Pahhh!
  15. Apparently the light comes on after, I think ten years anyway because they are supposed to be serviced/checked every so many years
  16. You would think it'd have failed at the root plate !
  17. Looks brilliant !! Although it should be entitled "Timelapse Dis-mantle" if I was to be anal
  18. All it is is rubber conveyor belting Ian, you should be able to pick some up off tbay
  19. You can buy like a little extension tube about 3/4 inch long which brings the nipple out where you can see it. But hey.......John..... I'm sure you know how to bring nipples out where you can see them, I'm surely teaching you how to suck eggs so to speak
  20. If it's the ones on the rollers John you'll be as well getting extended grease nipples, they often break because it's in a tight spot and getting the greasegun back off you have to twist to the side levering the nipple and snapping it
  21. I need about 2000 for a hedge so thought I'd make a start Haven't got a clue so we'll see what happens. Some I cut from new green shoots with a tiny bit of brown bark, others from hard brown stem. The hard brown stem cuttings I made a few score marks in the bark, cut the bottom off at an acute angle and dipped in rooting powder after soaking in water. I also have experimented by potting a load with no rooting powder and putting them straight into 4 year old composted chip to see what happens If some of these take I'll see which ones then do the rest of the cuttings I need next year Any tips or critisism welcome
  22. I had the screech noise on one with 100 hours on. When you grease a timberwolf roller, the grease travels to the bearing/bush on the grease nipple side then through a hole in the middle of the roller to the bush/bearing on the other side. You have to make sure you pump enough grease in and make sure the grease reaches the far bearing. You can tell it's gone through because when you start pumping grease in, the grease will first push the roller away from the brease nipple side, then when it reaches the other bearing it will force the roller back again toward the grease nipple, couple of pumps more and your there Sometimes, if it isn't greased regularly the grease hardens a little and it's hard getting it right through. I had the bottom roller out on a new TW and couldn't find the screeching problem, however, when I cleaned the hole through the shaft out and blasted it with grease it dissappeared The mis-alignment (if the bearings/bushes are ok) sounds like the bit of play in the securing bolt holes.
  23. Cheers Dave
  24. Sack him mate, if he wouldn't employ you if you were that unreliable
