  1. I'm a little slow for the first 20 minutes too Ad
  2. You'll have more chance looking for a small woodland plot. People are now realising that instead of buying a small idyllic woodland they can spent quality time in, they have infact bought a liability which they need PL insurance for and need money to spend on maintainance to prevent the possibility of being sued I'd put in an wanted advert in your local rags for a small woodland or agricultural patch for use by a local tree surgeon as a yard.
  3. The splitter might run a bit slow Jon, because the hydraulic oil will be a bit cold and thick but it will warm up with use. Quickest way to warm the oil, is to start using it straight away
  4. Your going soft James, I had mine stripping and cleaning out my stove today. It kicks out loads more heat when clean Just nice and toasty ready for me to put me feet up when I get home
  5. I'm hoping this cold spell is a wake up call to UK drivers, so in future they will prepare for winter as everyone should. Since I began driving in 82 I have always had two sets of tyres, winter tyres and summer tyres. It pee's me right off seeing people driving out in snow blizzards thinking they are going to get somewhere on what is nothing more than slik's I remember "in the olden days" in the village I lived in, two double deckers dissappearing under a snow drift outside my house
  6. A heated seat for the Defender would do me just fine Mike, I can do with a cold engine, I cant do with a freezing cold vinyl seat
  7. Never had that problem with stihl oil, except with an MS170 (say no more ) the only other time was when I experimented with castor oil based two stroke, which also carboned up the skirt of the piston below the rings
  8. Totally agree, all the td5's that I know of that have broken down or gone pop are owned by people who do not service when supposed to and / or drive like idiots and / or service on a budget
  9. Will do Josh, but it might be a while, our dealer is not known for fast turnover of repairs Ed, I found the exhaust soots up with either mixing the two stroke too strong or not using a synthetic oil
  10. I'd look into winch wireless remotes and adapting one of those
  11. I've got a 200 in at the dealers at the moment, gone through all the checks and it still runs dodgey, but the symptoms are that it will tick over but not rev up, which is the same symptoms as a block gauze carb filter
  12. In another colour and with 4 doors I might
  13. Winter baffle is the little plate on the right hand side of the handle, held with one screw next to the H and L jet setting screws.
  14. The little round filter inside the carb itself as shown here http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/maintenance-help/21274-demonstration-ms200t-carb-removal.html
  15. You definately need two of those Bob I thought they were steps
  16. Plug sooting up is a bit unusual ?? Try cleaning the filter inside the carb first, you need to check that to eliminate it. They normally need cleaning one a year, twice a year if you use steel jerry cans.
  17. Bit picky you two ?? I'll have both, why have one when you can have two
  18. The Pen had been put away, I'm no go at multitasking Ed....using your finger is cheating
  19. I find they "brown" more if cut in hot weather. Leylandii probably make up 50% of most peoples work, so in reality, unless you are well off you will have no choice but to trim all year round
  20. It is neat because the "pen nib" was only an inch off the snow surface. ....and the snow was only 6 inch deep.... and I was stood up... and not laid down.....
  21. I've always cut them year round, if I cut them in winter I just explain to the customer there's a small risk of the tips browning. Never had a problem yet
  22. You've got terrible shakes John, have you tried using a tripod ?? Or did you sneeze ?
  23. Same age as me now Pete Happy birthday mate
