  1. ....the little fella from the TV, thats him Paul. I missed him last year to Looking forward to this one.
  2. Barcham Trees Website | The Container Tree Specialists There you go mate - They hold free seminars from time to time, it’s a bit of a drive but always worth the slog.
  3. Ha! I guess thats a 'no' then - more cakes for the Hancock then...
  4. Anyone off to Barchams tomorrow? (14th July)
  5. Cheers Sean, that one was taken at 1/25 Sec. It takes a little practice as on that spot the cars are accelerating up to about 90mph at that point. The pics are just converted to B&W on Nikons own software, the wide-angle shots have just had a lighting effect added through photo-shop because my lens doesn’t accept a filter. Cheers for the compliment.
  6. I’ve just bought a 70-200 Nikon Dean, its got image stabilisation and so-far the results are good. I was tempted to go for the pro model (all manufactures have a pro range) but couldn’t justify the big spend at the time.
  7. Cheers Dave, I’ve been looking into making my own set-up with weather-balloons, a cheap digital camera, a home made cradle and lots of strong fishing line – would be fun I’m sure (with the added bonus of my feet staying on the ground!)
  8. I’m no expert mate but I assume they are little extension trumpets fitted with wire gauze to stop the dust etc ruining that precious engine. A few more ‘arty’ ones…
  9. lol, cheers fella When that Lotus is at full song it would prob suck in most of the wildlife in and around the hill!
  10. Blimey David, what an excellent thread! Always fancied having a go in a balloon but the landing has always worried me!
  11. Joined ages ago Simon, really like the way your using the application as well – very clever and an excellent business tool!
  12. Sorry for the complete inactively lately, been a little busy with this and that….. Anyway, no pictures of trees, just a few pictures from Yesterdays Hill Climb meeting – see what you think…..
  13. Hi Colin, just been on the ISA UK Chapter web-site and it seems a little out of date, the events section dates back to 2008! Are you having problems with the old inter-web?? Cheers, John.
  14. Yes, Lightspeed are very good – up there with FatChance. If you want an inexpensive Ti frame have a look at Van Nicholas Van Nicholas - The Titanium Bike Company. Dutch company specializing in the design of role-specific and tailor-made Titanium frames, and hand-built bikes
  15. Two questions – Whats your budget and what sort of riding to you intend to do? Personally I’m all in favour of hard-tails as they offer much better value for money, will prove more reliable, easier to maintain and will be significantly lighter. Decide on a price point and then start the research mate, maybe stick with the main brands to start with as these big companies have the buying power and often can fit quality components around a decent frame and wheel set-up. Let me know how much you’ve got to spend and I’ll have a look at the market.
  16. Thats a cracker mate!! Stunning!!
  17. God-dam amazing that! Cant stop looking at it!!
  18. Agreed - bet they had the thermal imaging camera out as well!
  19. Love the second one Tony, if you took a step to your right you’d have a dead-ringer of our wonderful coast line:thumbup1:
  20. 1st shot with the ladder........... Lovely trees!
  21. A Nikon D700 mate, good camera but a little heavy!
  22. Just trying to add a little variation to a thread full of Arb related stuff, spent 8 hours lugging camera equipment around trying to take a few snaps for the benefit for those who couldn’t attend or couldn’t be arsed to attend. I wont bother next time.
  23. The last one is lovely David (mind you they are all very good) I like your 'eye'
  24. God-knows mate! Thought someone here would know….maybe not.
