  5. To put up new special offers for you lot.
  6. Yes it is OK to sell them one, it's not law for us not to. But I wouldn't until I've gone through a load of questions and found out why he is after one. Loads of domestic customers come down and head straight for the 200T because it's small, the price normally moves them on quickly. We would explain that it needs to be used by a trained operator and the reasons why, then move them on to a MS181 cheaper and better suited for them with all the PPE explained, or give them a card for a local tree surgeon if I'm feeling they are not quite the right person to use a saw.
  7. Sorry mate don't do the Francitals yet, I might look into them a bit later, but looking at the pile of stuff next to me I've got to get up on the website, it might be a long while yet.
  8. Yes you should have a CS39 to use it. Not to buy it though. I normally explain it as any one can go and buy a car, doesn't mean you can drive it without a licence. We have a lot of company's and councils that buy the saws and mum and dads for presents. There is a big sticker put on the side of the box with "only to be used by a trained person". As long as the sales person is asking the right questions we can work out who is using it.
  9. Or Ben You can buy the same ones of me and save a few quid for a pint. Petzl Cordex Belay gloves, black | F R Jones and Son
  10. Think I might see if Stein can start doing elephants, I think there's a market there.
  11. You don't need tickets to buy any chainsaw, but it shows you have been trained and are competent in the use of a saw. Which makes me happier selling one to people.
  12. Give us a bell, I may be able to help you out if you have your tickets.
  13. I've chilled out now, had 1/2 a bottle of wine in the bath. Now doing the other half on here.
  14. I thought it was a Stihl birthday cake. Mind you a cake would probably run better.
  15. Hi I've checked today and they now do a 4 way splitter for the 7 ton model, it's £30.00 + VAT Still don't do one for the 25ton machine yet.
  16. Looks like a good day by the smiles on your faces. Sorry I couldn't make it had other things going on.
  17. I've sold a few to members on here, hope they will come on and tell you how good it is. You could PM Mick Stockbridge he's had one the longest.

  22. Which new ones? The type C aren't changing and the new Gladiators are out already.
  23. Not yet but soon.
  24. As far as I know the EN12492 also has side impact protection as well as the correct chin strap. The EN397 didn't have the correct strap and no side impact protection. Hope this helps.
  25. Hi If you look at the AFAG doc below, it is recomended that you use EN12492 and most of us don't stock EN397 anymore for that reason. If you going to a college then most of them won't ley you climb in a EN397 anyway. Hope this helps. http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/afag401.pdf
