  1. Stevie check out under any seats on the metal work in the station, I've read that people put magnetic ones under seats.
  2. Will do, got one to find local to us as a tester and it says I will need a pin or twezers.:confused1:
  3. Less the rates, rent, tools, insurance, admin, computers, office staff, vans, etc...
  4. I hear what some of you are saying, but trying to get a teenager of his rear and outside is a nightmare, prefers to sit in front of a laptop/xbox. He's up for this and it stops me working for a while and it means the wife gets a break from me and him as well, every ones a winner. I'll post my finds on here, either that or I'll tell you it's crap and I'm not going again.
  5. We have set charges £52.00 for a full service this covers everything, even if it's on the bench for 3 hours. Any other job is between £25-32 depending on how involved it is. If it's just a tune up or a 5 min job we don't charge anything. And we don't charge anything to quote if we rip it down and the pistons knackered and you don't want it repaired, we hand it back in a box so you can use it for spares. We do get the odd numpty that wants us to put it back together so he can sell it, we refuse now as we have seen the same saw come back in several times and I don't want to be part of ripping someone off.
  6. Never herd of this I'm going to look into this tonight as I'm sure this is something I can do with the boy. Always trying to think of something to do at the weekends with him and just end up sitting at home. A small Arbtalk one would be great, Steve let us know if your up for it. If your not I might do it on the my site.

    Cool trick

Class I'm making one of those for on the counter at the shop.
  8. Yes I would, but I would need to ask a few questions. It's not the person buying it that needs the cert it's the person using it. Put it like this your dad can buy you your first car (if your lucky) before you have a driving licence, this doesn't mean you can drive can jump in and drive it until your qualified to do so. Hope this makes sense.
  9. Well done Ray:thumbup:
  10. They are not a bad saw, we sell it as a back up saw. It's not a Chinese saw it's Italian. We sold over 50 last year and only had 2 come back with minor assembly faults. :001_smile:
  11. That's the price of a new one. but with no warranty and second hand.
  12. Still got that place left.
  13. You have me all worried now, give me a bell so I can make sure Im there, as I may be working from home.
  14. I'm not a climber but I understand it well enough to comment. Accidents can happen to anyone one slight lapse in concentration and it's not just going to be a twisted ankle. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/18273-climber-injured-collection-box.html If this guy had 2 lines in he would still be climbing now, I know this guy personally and he's still in a bad way. Look at it this way, can you can afford to have a year off unpaid and your family won't suffer? I'm not having a dig just highlighting that these things can happen to anyone out there. Climb safe.
  15. If I get any enquiries for pricing etc I'll be on the phone for you. Would you like me to email my customers to keep an eye out for you?
  16. Evening all, I have one place that I have to fill as someone has had to drop out for a good reason. First come on this as I need it to go quick.
  17. Well done everyone, as soon as the Big Dog Steve send me the list through I'll get the gear out ASAP.
  18. Pop in and try a few on, the Meindls are hard wearing and comfortable.
  19. Just got round to this thread as I've been away. Good spot has mate and glad he's on the mend. Its made me think about things as my little one is a bit poorly at the moment. Good of you to post and keep peoples minds alert. Hope he makes a quick recovery and those smiles will he you forget.
  20. Just a quick rant. Why have they decided to do the increase from midnight and not 6am, it's not to bad for me as we run everything from here. But it means we need to stay up to do the change and test it. Did they not think about how much it is already going to cost the small/medium size business in changing everything, now we have to pay someone to be on standby at midnight. How many thousands of internet companies are felling the same and going to be tired and pissed off tomorrow. And what about all the clubs and bars that will be open is everything going to go up at midnight, will there be a rush to the bar, pissed people arguing over the price. 6am most places are closed and will have time to change and sort any problems. I know what ever time they chose won't be great for everyone, but a little thinking beforehand would have been nice. Rant over. Get your orders in before I push the button at midnight.
  21. Will do as I have to stay up for the VAT change. Government knobs think midnight is the best time to change it over? why not a time when most are awake 6am would have been better.
  22. Come on guys dig deep and let's top last years total. More members should mean a bit more money.
  23. Happy new year to all you lot back in the UK, I've got 5 hours to go yet but I've opened my first beer of the night to celebrate with you lot, cheers:cheers: and for Stevie and the rest of Scotland. Slàinte mhath
  24. We have one we use for Hire and Demos, don't get any problems and everyone that uses it seems to like it. Talk to your local Greenmech dealer and get a demo on one, you can put some ugly bits through it and see for yourself.
