  1. Sky plus mate. Pause function and rewind.
  2. It is a bit different around here. Most companies I graft for pay in one way or another to offloads chip and logs.
  3. Rupe, spoken like a true batchelor with a care free cavalier attitude to life... I agree with you that there is more to life than tree work. However, I have a family and have to go to work to pay my bills. Getting to work late means, jobs run over, which mean I am even later getting back to the yard. I then am late to get my kids from the childminders. Which incures penalties if I get them after 6 pm. Do you or anyone else fancy paying my childcare cost over the next month? On top of this, tempers on the roads are rising and the amount of people acting like a knob because they aren't moving is only adding to things. I have probably seen more bumps and near misses in the last week than I have in the last 10 years. As for the athletes, that goes without saying. I am full of admiration for the training and dedication they have put into to get a place on an Olympic team. The games itself is a great spectacle, it is just the organisation of the people up top that have already left a bad taste in peoples mouths. Saying that though, I will still probably crack one out for the 100m womens hurdles..
  4. Make sure they have 2 chutes Phil. Apparently there is a large rate of failure and they insist on 2 for the chubbies! Just in case...
  5. And you lot dont even live near it! Imagine living near one of the Olympic sites and in order for the rest of the world to arrive and everything go to plan, they change the traffic light patterns. 12 mile tail back for the blackwall tunnel at 7 am the other day, all because of one set of lights on the A2 have been changed and about 5 cars at a time get through. Thankfully I was going the other way. It has absolutely screwed with most peoples working lives/commute. I have not encountered so many idiot drivers on the roads since they changed the light cycles last week. People are just doing stupid things. Today for example. at 6.20 this morning, at a filter traffic lane to turn right towards Beckenham, I was about the 18th car. It took 5 cycles of the lights to get through. In that time at least 3 people left the queue to accelerate to the front and barge their way in or go through the red light. Last example... yesterday working for Mick Stockbridge. I left his home and it took me 35 minutes to get down the A2 to within 3 miles of my house. It took me 35 minutes to do the final 3 miles!!! Rant over. I am seriously thinking of leaving the country till it is over.
  6. Cheers Pete, I thought the rope had to bend in order for the positioner cam to lock. But as I said, I have been wrong before.
  7. I am probably incorrect, but I thought the ART positioner doesn't work with a wire core flipline?
  8. Happy birthday mate.

  10. How do you get four elderly women to simultaneously shout "f..k?" Get a fifth one to shout "bingo!"
  11. Why did you choose the Gransfors Dan? Did you lob them both on the Friday?
  12. I reckon the little fellas are Stihl reps...
  13. Whatever happened to this Mog?
  14. It will be able to lift a large bag, full of cash, to the value of the crane. As soon as you add the VAT though, no go..! The crane just doesn't want to know. :001_tt2:
  15. Bob, I have the ochsenkopf. Never used the Gransfors. Andy had one at the show but I didn't want to tarnish my hands by using it. Andy seemed to like it though.
  16. Justin got one for me Bob. I think he ordered it in though. Not seen them in the shop.
  17. I think the rules should be to chuck the axe so it sticks in a lump of wood from a distance. Closer to the middle of the wood the better. KIS.
  18. No Mark, I only won the battle of the North East because... A - Teesside is better than Northumbria. B - I was more hungover than you. C - You deserved the humiliation as penance for spending your hard earned to get the train up North to See Bruce Springsteen at the Stadium of Sh... :001_tt2: I'd be up for it Andy.
  19. I can speel it aswell Liam.
  20. I am most like someone from Thailand. Not seen many 6'4", 87 kilo Thais around though...?
  21. Tea and Snickers...
  22. Jon, the OBC read 31.?? but I havent reset for quite a while and it is a mixture of driving. More to point, I used to get well over 500 miles per tank at one point. best was about 540 IIRC. Now I am lucky to get 450. I was more astonished that the Nissan Tech's didnt have a scooby when I asked them if they reset the ECU. They have had it in twice now since xmas. I have asked them both times to check the MPG. The fella came out today and said it is 31.?? MPG you just have to press the Status button and it tells you. Monkey see, Monkey Do!!! The reason it was in this time was a fox chewed through the ABS Sensor cable on the nearside rear. 350 to replace - OUCH!. I was a bit sceptical so asked to see the bite marks. I was in work clobber so got on the deck and crawled under the truck to have a look. A technician came over and said can I help you - so I told him what I was doing, he said OK got on the truck, Started the engine and tried to move it with me still under it! WTF! So I shouted at him and then when he was manouvering it onto the ramps he reversed it into a pillar. How Speshul is that? There were 2 other technicians and myself shouting at him, plus a reverse camera! IDIOT!
  23. Hello mate, you still getting good MPG from the NAV? I have had mine in the workshop for the last few days. I mentioned the reset and my presently bad MPG. They had no idea what I was on about and looked at me like I was from Ulan Bator and speaking in Mongolian.
  24. Only 2 h 40 mins left. Wonder who will be the lucky winner?
