It hard at first but if you can learn to, use either hand.It makes it so much quicker,put my saw on any flat surface,rest my chest on the saw body sharpen one side,then just swop hands and do the other side,can do a 25" in under 2 minutes.Also always after you've done run a stick over the teeth from the none edge side to remove burrs.

  11. So true! the best cutter I ever worked with had no certs,he wore jeans and a flat cap,although he has now started wearing cutting pants and a helmet.

    I have now given this situation a little more thought and there are only two options, you could say that you don't feel the change have been given complies with good financial practise and you then tell them what you think the change should be,but say you will accept there change if they insist or you say that the change you have been given does not comply with good financial practise and that as BAAP (butty association approved purchaser) you are not prepared to accept the change, give back the change,except your tenner,and the butty and tell them to sell there wares to cowboys and pikeys.
  14. Your right if you want get any were in this industry especially as an employee you will probably find you need NPTC,sorry to be a pedent ,but its one of my pet hates:wave:
  15. I have my NPTC and feel it is a good idea to get them,but it is not a licence and to refer to it as such just causes confusion.You may need you NPTC to get insurance and many contracts,but it is not a legal requirment,no offence intended,but it really bugs me when people call it a licence.
