  1. I would make it clear that I would do the work if they are going to get it done regardless, but then tell them my honest oppinion as to what work should be done.

  3. Do you think you could put up some sort of warning on this thread i just opened it and now feel a little dirty and the wife thinks i'm gay!
  4. What makes you think that? If they were TPO'd that cutting is not BS3998. If its a conservation area they could only stop it happening by putting on a TPO,They cannot vet applications to do work.
  5. I could be wrong, but it looks to me that they have been topped in the past,in which case retopping/pollarding is the only way to go,IMO

I would say yes,but i would go for the 660.When they were the 066 and the 064 the 064 had smaller bearings in the bottom end, don't know about the new ones,i have a 066 great saw imo.

    Don't you mean OUR loot!
  17. That is right! you have make things happen.Life is not a spectator sport,it really pee's me of when people tell me how lucky i've been, you make your own luck.
  18. This more about duty of care,ie if you use subies or employ a climber,if it's your job, your firm and your the climber, they are less interested.Same goes for climbing groundie,i think its more important to have a rope which will reach the floor, which i don't think is in the GGCP.
  19. I was told,by someone in the know, that one of the main reasons illegal immigrants come to the UK,rather than the rest of Europe,is the fact that our police are not armed. looks like you had a good holiday Steve, i have family over in California, and hope to out some time soon.
  20. I'm not sure it was averted, my insurance went from £2000 to £6500,:cussing:i rang round and there no companies taking on new clients. The following year i rang round found there were more companies available and cheaper quotes,so i was all set to change companies, but when my renewal came though it was just less than the other quote so i staid put.Now that sounds like market forces to me?,but i could be wrong.
  21. Burn or compost, if its clippings a shredder will only speed up you composting,at a cost.
