  1. I think you must mean 12' 10" breast hight "circumference" not diameter .
  2. It must, unless he means 1MILLION volts?
  3. No problem mate, I'm happy to help!
  4. Cheers mate, I get by.
  5. If probably like someone asking us to chip stuff they've cut!!
  6. And if this deal comes off give me a call, I could have loads of stuff for you!!
  7. Same hear, I paid off my trailer earlyer this year, they rang me to see if I wanted to borrow some more. I'm LTD and have no problem borrowing, I always use "asset finance" so the loan is secured against the machine not your home . I always use my bank for all my borrowing, they know me, I found out that my file says I'm a "workaholic" cheeky buggers!!!!
  8. Sorry to hear this Mozza, hope some thing turns up! Where abouts in Manchester are you?
  9. I would ALWAYS prefer to be up a pop, than doing crappy hedges I charge MORE for hedges than trees!!
  10. True, but I have a hell of a lot more gear than then they do!
  11. This is a very generous offer, thankyou!
  12. PL insurance is NOT a legal requirement, even if you run you own firm. So how the tax man can "expect" a sub contractor to have it is beyond me? I am in no way suggesting that to not have insurance is a good idea and I for one word never work without it, I just wish people would stick to the FACT'S!! When the new rules for "labour only subcontractors" came in, I was working for fountain forestry and 2 other firms. I went to my local tax office, they gave me a letter stating I was genuinely self employed, they did not ask me about insurance.
  13. Not the bit about this being a site for tree men, not gardeners, you didn't.
  14. Now come on, thats not nice! Throwing insults are the tactics of some one with a weak argument.
  15. Bring your rod to ours on the way too the AA Stevie, you can fish my lake, its stocked with rainbows, but there are also some wild Brownies.
  16. The difference between working without a chipper or with a chipper, is legion. The difference between TW and "better" chippers, is MUCH less. So most small outfits, are happy with a TW.
  17. True! AND all the above are also "fit for purpose". We live in a free market economy, things sell for a reason.
