  1. I've been registered for over 9 years and never had an inspection.
  2. A tip I was told a few years back, is if you are making a large purchase ring the VAT people and tell them. If you claim back an unusually large amount it can trigger an inspection, if you ring them and just explain you have bought some new kit, they will not see it as unusual.
  3. My bank did that with me when I bought my mog, basically the bank paid the VAT for me, then I paid them once I had claimed it back. The VAT man will not wait.
  4. Indeed!! a golden opportunity for great shots!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I just use my thumb nail
  6. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! You just know they are TRYING sooooooooooooo hard to convince every one they are a "hard man" they are even trying to convince themselves!!!
  7. This is not the first time you have mentioned that you got investigated twice If you were told after the first investigation not to use red, WHY did you continue to use red?? I'm not having ago, just interested
  8. These pic's are such good quality!!!!!! its like being there!! Any chance you could run a photo workshop in Cornwall
  9. Aways do the raker's last, never use a depth gauge, just give each one the same number of file swipes.
  10. I never use a file guide, just round file with a bit of branch off cut as a handle. I never use a vice, just put saw on something like the chipper hopper or the top of a butt, lean on the body of the saw sharpen left hand cutters right handed then do right hand cutters left handed. Never sharpen saws at home, only ever on site. Each to there own, no right way or wrong way, IMO.
  11. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just got back from a loverly night out at the local Italian restaurant, read this and laughed out loud!!! cheers, Stevie!!!!! Glad you kept some mog parts Mike!!, they did not all get feed to the lake!!

    hedges

Young Yew grow surprisingly fast, great hedge, IMO.
  15. The council used to have a few Landys with PTO's they where used for operating gang mowers. You could have a PTO driven tow behind chipper, if I was going to use a chipper on the rear of a mog I would have a tow behind, save the carrying capacity for the chip, or better still put the chipper on the front. Landrover gearboxes are not the best, I would not want to try running a chipper with one. Two trailers is only allowed for agri vehicles.
