  1. So true!! YOUare your best hope if you have an accident, keep your rope free and never climb on a line thats not long enough to get you down in one. Its amassing what an injured person is capable of for the first few minuets after the injury, adrenalin is marvelous stuff.
  2. The above quote seems a strange use of words for a two month period??
  3. Must be Steve!! Looking at the comp times, he can't even stay in a tree for five minuets!!
  4. Thats weired:confused1: Few months back it was brand new http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/8772-just-bought-ldv-6.html#post158538
  5. Does moving grave stones, walls, houses, etc not get expensive??
  6. How do you go on when there is stuff under the branch?? I go out on almost every thing, get the brash off, for Todd to chip. I'm guessing you have one of those fancy groundies that uses a saw

  11. Hehehe!!! Thats the one!! the water stops when it gets to your skin!! And the wind can help!, if its blowing the right way!!
  12. Yep!! I've had that one!!! You treat them well and try to be nice and they start to think they are great and you REALLY, REALLY need them and treat YOU like crap!!
  13. Great thread!! Do wish you would use less cryptic titles David, I keep passing this thread by. Looks like you had a great time!! Will be there next year for sure!!!
  14. I think your spot on there!! Its real funny how all the guys who waffle on about how you won't get paid out if you haven't done this that or the other have NOTHING to say in a thread on that very subject. I have had a couple of claims, one my fault (church window) one not, employee injuring him self, both were paid out no problem. I read on hear the other day some guys saying how if you did not have the NPTC ticket for the exact task you were carrying out you would not be covered?? Have they not heard of "transferable skills"?? You are required to act in a "reasonable" manner NOT be a anal muppet running round worrying more about bits of paper than experience, skill and good planing.
  15. Rupe, you may be working in a back garden, but you often have to cross a foot path or the like, with with the arisings. Their are people out their that are looking for a chance to make a claim. You leave a twig on the floor, they throw themselves down next to it, bingo your screwed. Having had a claim against myself, for something that was not my fault, I am very glad I have ALWAYS had insurance. I am not prepared to allow a fraudster to take away every thing I have worked for.
  16. :confused1:Now which one do I prefer?????? Its a tricky one............................................ NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Please, please, please!!!!! tell me those are metaphorical "hi fives"!!!!
  18. Standing in a skip suspended from a crane.
  19. Not sure you need to train, I did my own, it ain't hard.
  20. Some chippers have a chamber, a sort of vortex for filling bags. Something of that sort suspended above the trailer would work.
