  1. That looks great Garth!! I've not seen 2 point linkage before, does it work OK??
  2. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo true!!!
  3. Good point!!!!! I'd not thought of that
  4. My understanding is that the beetle goes in the cambium, when the trees are young or slow grown (like weepers) the cambium is too thin for the beetle.
  5. Its the canopy that does the feeding not the other way round. So the more canopy the better.
  6. Don't see how that works Stevie??? If you remove the trees means of feeding (the leaves) how can that make the tree stronger??? Also I don't think the strength or health of the tree has any bearing on whether a tree gets DED, if the beetle goes in the tree get infected, well that my understanding.
  7. You lucky bugger!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS, I believe we each make our own luck, so well done!!!!!!!!!
  8. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1:
  9. IMO, it will survive and grow like hell!!!!!!!!!!! in 5 years it'll be bigger than it is now!!!
  10. I don't find it that weak and is MUCH stronger once dry, the dead wood in pops can be like iron sometimes. Its quite flexible, which would be good for carts. I think they would have painted them (probably with lead paint) which would help with preservation. Pop was also used for brake blocks on steam rollers and traction engines as it is very hard wearing. It used to be peeled to make a sort of thick veneer and used to make cabbage boxes.
  11. Machines are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!! when they work. When they don't they are a PITA!!!!! Hope you get sorted soon:001_smile:
  12. Pop used to be used to make Haywains (horse drawn hay wagon) That be where he gets the wagon back thing from. In the Constable painting "The Haywain" it is in the river to swell the timber, as it would shrink and the joints would became loose.

Was there a reason for the camera being held at a strange angle?????????
  15. In that case it can't go any where, so theres no problem, leave it be and just keep an eye on it. Or you could get a thick washer with a slightly smaller hole than the pin and weld it on the end through the hole.
  16. The creditor!!, the debtor must think its great!! I would insist on staged payments, if they said no I would just go work for someone else. These company's only behave this way because contractors ALLOW them too. By allowing a situation like that to develop you are basically handing the keys to your business too them Thats not for me thanks
  17. I was going to ask if you thought it was caused by your Castor oil.
  18. Its never happened on ANY of mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With the exception of the old 020t's which had a mesh spark arrester, which I used to remove when they were new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Which part would you "chuck", its a tricky one, I'd chuck the larger of the two parts once separated.
  20. Why on earth would ANY firm allow a situation like that to occur???????????
