  1. :confused1:The guys who are playing in this tournament are all under 45, I'm fairly sure the Americans have be playing longer than that, so why should some of them not be pretty good??? They also have a population of well over 350 million (I think) from which to select a team, as apposed to our just under 70 million. As for the "over paid bit" I really don't understand why people resent so much what players earn, at least they are paid out of revenue that they have generated, just like other people in the entertainment industry, unlike populations who get paid regardless of whether the things they have done have made the country money or lost the country money.
  2. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! One thing is for sure mate, your life is never dull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Doing rather better than you though aren't we
  4. I saw it, it looked like some ballsy lowering, but the bounce in the rope meant the piece battered a shed. He should have had another rope round it, so the groundie could to stop it getting away.
  5. Nice pic's John!! Looks like Dell has put on a pound or two, even with the smoking.
  6. Totally agree!!!!!!!!!!! Its called practicing medicine with good reason
  7. What do you drive and how big is your house???
  8. OKay so we should all shut up and only speak about things we are experts in?? . Its the "lounge", its a forum, opinions are the whole point, IMO . If you disagree with me thats fine
  9. Unfortunatly Andy it would seem there was little or no effort made to take him alive, dead or other wise. Really it seems to me from what I have heard and seen, that in real turms the poilce did nothing but secure crime scenes after he was long gone and it would appear their own safety was their main priority.
  10. I always believed that the UK police would put them selves in harms way to protect the public, how very naive I was. The fact that this took almost 3 hours, 12 people where killed and others injured, but not one police officer was even slightly injured, speaks volumes too me.
  11. Very much depends on the size of the crane.
  12. They are our police farce, sorry force, we are more than entitled to point of view. If you only want to talk trees I suggest you don't come into the "lounge. If you watch the program the police full admitted the things said were true and we were hearing from people who were there and saw what happened.
  13. I some times think that all the "training" that people have these days is a bad thing, it seems to me that as soon as they are in a situation for which they have no training they are unable to improvise. I used to watch 999 and the incompetence of the fire service in some of those situations really shocked me. I have had no formal training for what I do (just assessments) which means I can find my own way of doing most things, I have not come across a tree that I could not find away of dealing with, I'm sure its often far from by the book, but I manage.
  14. I would have had problems with my radio at the point I was told to drop back.
  15. All the more reason not to loose him!!!!!!!! He could not shoot behind and drive, so they should have stuck with him.
  16. Exactly!!!!!!!!! As I said "police incompetence"
  17. They were following him, but dropped back because they weren't armed and lost him, I would have run him off the road!!!!!!!!!!
  18. I'm watching Panorama on BBC1 its about Derick Bird (the cumbrian gun man) the incompetence of the police is staggering:thumbdown:
  19. I think it should have read "need". I knew what you were saying Tony:001_smile:
