  1. One of the things I keep hearing is that "she split communities and divided families", if she was so terrible why was their division?? surely everyone would have agreed she was awful????
  2. Most of them seem to be too young to have been there at the time anyway:001_rolleyes:
  3. Not so, the Polltax was on people not houses, so has gone.
  4. If Mrs T's pollices were so bad why were they not reversed by the subsiquent administration's??
  5. And Gordon didn't do us many favours
  6. Inspirational!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I heard some interesting things about her today on the radio. One was about how she had had all the children of her staff round for dinner, she had stayed up the night before and cooked all the food herself. We often like to paint a picture of someone that suits us, many want her to be a truly evil woman, but in reality very few people are all bad or all good, we tend to all have good and bad points.
  8. One of the main reasons they got rid of her (and she did not even loose that vote) was because she wanted less connection with Europe, but the the rest of the party wanted to get more into the EU, I think many would say she was right.
  9. IMO, you generally get what you pay for, the Kesla is more expensive for a reason. However its nice to buy British and if the Botex does all you need why spend more?
  10. She never lost an election.
  11. Thats very cleaver Good tip that
  12. Its has been pointed out to me that I am coming across in a judgemental fashion, that was not my intention Alistair, please accept my apology.
  13. I disagree, he feels he entitled to a claim, I'm not sure thats true.
  14. TBH, it sounds to me like you really need to take a look at your business model, does the fact that they are not prepared to climb it make you think? Should you not be looking at and pricing these job and taking or demanding the required equipment or TM?? To be perfectly honest I'm not should a business owner, who is taking on jobs and using their own gear should be claiming of the insurance of others. If they have their own staff, but get you in, is it not because they need your skill to complete the task??
  15. I run my own business, so don't work under the instruction of others, they may sub work to me, but I decide how its done.
  16. I also don't understand why anyone would refuse to dismantle a tree (in small pieces) into a road, but would participate in the felling of a whole tree into said road?? If you and your groundie could stop traffic for the tree, why could the boss and your groundie not do the same for you to drop bits??
  17. Where you not able to continue some works using your staff??
  18. I'm not Christ, just a normal guy £33k is a huge amount for a "subby climber" to claim to have lost in 3 months and I feel its relevant to the discussion, thats why I'm asking the question
  19. Its a question. I'm working with the facts given.
  20. As a subby you would need to be charging over £350 per day and working 7 days per week to have lost the money you claim and thats not allowing for the costs, such as fuel, that you have not incurred, so did you really have a day rate of over £400 and work 7 days per week??
  21. I felled two trees in a group of three, the TO turned up with the order before I felled the third. I had committed no offence, as the order had not been served. I appealed the TPO on the third, as it was a poor tree on its own and only warranted a TPO as part of the group, they agreed and I felled that one too.
  22. Established Middle Class, here. What utter tosh!! You can change one answer and get a completely different result, if I put "no savings" I become "Emerging Service Class".
