  1. Heat will help if you can get a torch near it without damage. I've used Pertex in the past, not cheap, but come to you and work 24/7.
  2. I take credit cards!!!!!!! . Not really
  3. Lets not jump to conclusions when the facts are not known guys.
  4. This is brilliant She is responsible for ALL the ills in the world, no doubt when Korea drop the bomb it will be her fault
  5. Spot on!! I was joking earlier:001_smile: Those with money tend to know how to hold on to it
  6. My word she was a powerful woman, it appears she still has a great deal of power over many of you after all these years!!!!!!
  7. What's parked on their drive and how big is the house??
  8. The thing is his notification states "reduce, thin and lift", no mention of "crown":001_huh: I really think they are either really not bothered if the trees are butchered or they have not done their job. I think he should have been asked for a better defined description of the works.
  9. She actually said she did not want a state funeral, she did not want the state paying for it.
  10. If so many people hated her, who voted for her??? she did win 3 elections. People speak about her as some sort of dictator who had no mandate, thats simply untrue. As for parties and celebrations at some ones death, I'm very glad I have no connection to those people or their views, I would not want to be represented by them, their actions say more about themselves that Mrs T.
  11. The thing is its not MY notification, the client has already done the notification. I had been asked to quote (along with others) I had to quote for the clients requirement, he told me the hight he wanted. I do have a good relationship with the TO, but he does not deal directly with us or the public, we all go through the planing department, who I also get on well with. I think I'm going to do as the client requires, if there's any come back I'll point out that they should have refused the notification as not specific enough or TPO'd.
  12. You don't "apply" for CA, you "notify", as I undress it they can't set conditions, they can simply decide if they are happy for you carry out the work you have "specified" or TPO the tree's. You don't actually get "permission", they should either TPO or not, but if your not specific enough they can ask for more details.
  13. Its not a state funeral.
  14. Its not a "permission", its a CA, not TPO. No mention of BS, but then as I understand it they could have asked my client to be more specific, but they have not TPO's so I guess they don't see the trees as important.
  15. Voting Ukip will make the others sit up and take notice, then they will change their polices. Remember the Greens?? they were getting lots of votes, so what happened?? the other parties became more green:sneaky2:
  16. No I'm not doing their job for them or queering my clients pitch
  17. I have client that has done a conservation areas notification to the LA, the council have responded, saying he can carry on. He has notified the intended reduction, lifting and thinning off two mature trees, he has given no indication of percentages or final hight. He wants a fair amount off. Is there an actual recognised legal definition of a tree reduction?
  18. Service is very important through. You soon forget the few quid you saved when you can't get a warranty issue sorted or stuff does not arrive when promised. I look for good service above the lowest price.
  19. Not necessarily, after 3 years a new one will still have considerable value, so it can be chopped in for another new one, its possible to be paying the same amount each month and always have a machine that under three years old.
  20. Round here is only grass, no arable, I've only ever seen flat rollers used.
  21. Those who hate Mrs T seem to think that those that don't think she was a Saint, most don't, they know she had her faults, but she was a true conviction politician and did things that needed doing.
  22. But if you keep hiring you can't save, finance means you get it now. Finance is a tool, used wisely it will make you money, just like any tool
