Its funny, I've never come across a tree I would not climb, "if it stood up in the last gail, it'll be fine!!" But now my eldest son it joining me in the Co, he's doing his climbing tickets, do I want him to climb "any tree"?????????????? makes me think??????

Are TPO's even fair or moral????? What gives others the right to enforce tree ownership on anyone??? possibly a tree you planted, you grew it for fuel and some do gooder comes along and affectively steals your fuel and makes you responsible for the up keep of a large tree!!!!

I've seen it, but always assumed the tree was dying of some other cause and the fungi was just saprophytic.

Some people are annoying, thats just some people, wether your buying or selling, you meet annoying people, there are annoying people in all walks of life, its like not advertising on the forum, some annoying people come up with all manor of ways to get round the rules its very annoying

Do you really think that works?? I always warn my customers of the old saying "Growth follows the knife". I'd be very surprised if that tree did not put on a growth spurt following its trim.

CTS these people are scum, pure and simple, they are professional scum and very good at it, they are generally one step ahead of decent honest people, because honest people don't even think like they do. The OP got shafted, maybe I would have smelled a rat, maybe not, but your suggestions IMO would not have helped.
