  1. This is pretty funny, but also depressing
  2. I take it that if "chainsaw jackets" were recommended by HSE, you would wear one???
  3. A very experience faller/timber merchant I climbed for when I was just getting started told me a horrific story of two brothers who worked together felling and climbing. One brother was removing a huge beech limb, it exploded as it broke way from the tree, creating a spiky butt end to the limb. It fell tip first towards the floor, hit the ground and sprung back up harpooning him and pinning his body to the tree. When the fire brigade arrived they were unable to retrieve the body, so his brother had to climb the tree and cut the body free. If the limb is no twice its own length from the ground I would go out and cut small.
  4. Yes and I'm also grateful type C's aren't mandatory either
  5. Those people mostly make a living killing trees, money is important, the only people who don't believe this generally have a great deal of it
  6. Not really, its often the difference between winning the job and not
  7. There will be a limit of £75K discount which is pretty huge.
  8. Are you for real????? How old are you????? Did you do any history at school???????
  9. So if he cuts his upper body what will he tell his Mrs or mum???
  10. The motorist had obviously not selected recycle on his air con:001_rolleyes:
  11. So if your rich its ok to kill children, but we don't want the poor doing it
  12. Do you wear upper body protection???
  13. But when the mines were open the miners told us it was such an awful job and made them ill, I guess we can't win.
  14. The person making an action does not dictate the nature of that action.
  15. It's very depressing how so many are keen to provide excuses and scape goats for all those who side step their personal responsible. Nothing is ever anyone fault, all the fault of the bankers or the government:001_rolleyes:
  16. Yes, yes, but it wasn't their fault, it was the evil bankers!!!!!!!!!!
  17. All it will do push up house prices further, it will assist those who already have a home and do nothing for those who are struggling to get a start. Not sure on your understanding of capitalism, but huge handouts to a single group is not normally part of the model.
  18. But the first 2 control the second 2, IME.
  19. What??? you can inherit a business or buy to lets.
  20. You are with capital gains. Look I don't like TAX, not any kind of TAX, but I don't get why inheritance is any different to any other TAX. The arguments put forward so far just hold no water. I pay income TAX, but then pay VAT when I spend the money, I pay TAX if I get interest if I save the money. So the idea that we only pay TAX once is unfortunately a joke
