How much actual experience of this industry do you have? These days this place seem to be full of people with very little idea posting as though they are seasoned experts. I notice you skipped over my reference to your previous posts regarding freelancers and insurance..... funny that.

I never mentioned working with one or two ropes, I simply didn't believe your story. I seem to recall you having similar stories regarding freelancers and insurance. I've been climbing for over 25 years, run a limited Co for 21 years, in that time I've had 3 accidents requiring hospitalisation. What you claim simply does not ring true with my personal experience. As for insurance, how many people have personal accident insurance? I know I don't. And my employers and public liability insurance doesn't cover me if I injury myself.

I'm getting sick to the back teeth of reading shite like this. Earlier today I was listening to medical staff who are going through hell dealing with this horror, one has since resigned after 19 years as an intensive care nurse, she simply could not cope any longer. One consultant said one of the worst things was people undermining the seriousness of the situation. People who have not been directly affected by this pandemic should count their blessing and keep their moronic tinpot conspiracy theories to themselves, IMHO,

Given the current furlough scheme, seems like a very strange time for bigger firms to be worrying about keeping staff busy. I've certainly not notice any changes locally.

Oh come on!! Clearly they are dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. I am no fan of Forst, to me they have ripped off Jensen, copying their machine. But they are replacing the machine, what more could they do???

Yes the "self-employed" myth or "running your own business" does not always go the way you think. In reality no-one employs themselves, you are in a way employed by all your clients/customers and they can be very demanding. And its very easy to find your business is running you, not you running the business. Don't get me wrong, I've been self employed most of my adult life (over 30 years) and don't imagine I'll ever be employed, but it takes some getting right and is by no means a "land of milk and honey"
