  1. They can't say no and then put the TPO on, they must put the TPO on within the six week window. The only thing that can stop the work is a TPO. The notification does not need to be on a form, it simply needs to be written and understandable.
  2. And how do you see that as the banks fault? They are not the ones defaulting on debts? Don’t wish to sound harsh, but it sounds like you need to change something within your business. I don’t think I have defaulted on a direct debit (other than deliberately to BT and Yell) in the whole of my 25+years in business.
  3. Thats very strange, I ran my business with just a private account for years, I was forced to open a business account by my bank. Banks don't usually want you have a "stack of cash" in your account, that makes them no money at all. What they want to see is a good flow of revenue in and out of the account and the opportunity to lend you money, that you can afford to pay back. My bother is a sole trader, straight as a die, all his income is declared, he has done very well, he's had 80% of his profits off HMRC.
  4. How will they possibly justify this, when small Ltd Co's have had bugger all help? Can't see it happening personally.

    Covid-19

Yes, had he given his name I guess he would have been given a warning or a fixed penalty. Not giving his name was also the reason for the hand cuffs. As he would not identify himself they had no idea if he was a known violent individual.
  6. They send you some stickers for your pickup.

    Covid-19

Is there a soup kitchen near by?
  8. But.... what % of accidents are reported or reported correctly?
  9. But you completely miss my initial point, that two main lines at least doubles your chances of making that fateful error. In the vast majority of occasions your second anchor point would simply snap, making it no different than felling your single anchor.
  10. Why not, both German manufactures, (well where, probable outsourced such parts to china now) great they were buying from their fellow country men, IMO.
  11. Have you actually dismantled any trees of a decent size?
  12. I have a theory that some of the crap, slow climber move into training/HSE and then spend their time coming up with ways of making the good climber as crap as they were. Just in an effort to get even for all the shit they got for being useless. I could be wrong, but it does kinda fit.
  13. What if the bit they cut weights over a tonne?
  14. Is the existing shaft broken or simply worn? If its worn you could get the worn section spiral welded and then machined back to the correct diameter.
  15. Anecdotally I hear that a lot of climbing accidents involve the climber felling the portion of the tree they are anchored too, surely two main lines doubles the chance of this.
  16. What if you were never trained, just self taught and then assessed?
  17. I won't do it because I genuinely do not think it's safer, I actually think its potentially more dangerous. It's simply over complicating things. My rope has a breaking strain of over 3tones and I'm capable of choosing a branch that will easily talk my weight. IMO it's like suggesting cars should have two seatbelts, just incase. When limb walking, the slowest thing is paying out the slack and taking it in on return. Why double that process for no good reason? It's just stupid, IMO. This tree was dismantled and removed on the day, by three of us, I know that would not have happened using two ropes.
  18. Pretty sure you can't sign away you safety or wellbeing. Property damage, yes.
  19. Does that include the time taken connecting your poles together and packing them up? You know, the ones you say you use for installing your two lines.
  20. Unless you're only taking the top out.
  21. Bleating on about the law and doesn't even know it. I'm not the one telling others what to do.
  22. I think you need to go back and reread the new rules.
