  2. Deadwooding this oak today,main road under me with plenty of traffic, first time i have done a tree with a target area like this..good day no wood fallen on cars or pepole,Bugger to climb, no straight stem to anchor off either..not used to those yet.Sorry their not very exciting guys.
  3. Just heard on the East Anglian news that a tree crushed a car in Norwich today...dont know anymore...anyone know where and what happend..Tony you got the heads up on it?

Big thanks to Andy C for organising the meet up and the reccy climb.was good to see you all there..noce to meet some new faces too. had a good day..got to do a little climb up the oak to get the rigging carabiner..thanks for the encourgment guys.came away today with good vibes,a starter wood carving kit and some photos...to follow.
  6. Im going today..could not make it yesterday..had to get a new car..quick!Spent the day car hunting.Stalking the car dealers wallet in hand:biggrin:....bang..got one!!
  7. Have left work leaving my climbinbg kit at work..reminded my self all day..need it for tommorrow show..poo!Ring boss and go and get it tommorrow. Looking forward to it.its a great day with lots to see and do...dont miss it folks.

  9. We laughed at work today as the company was called A1..like ours.!! I Agree that AA contractors as well as other proffesional companies should have been plugged.
  10. been back a week and a half now..elbow not too bad, were in a 3 man team now with a boy..who takes the strain of me a bit.cant belive how knackered i am after no hard graft for near on 4 months...glad its the weekend.

  14. Boss is sending me to good physio soon (thanks T, if your reading).Hopefully be back in the saddle in a few weeks...it is starting to heal and get less sore.

  16. MMMmm..dont know much about the ecology of Juglone, but may be risky planting new saplings too close to it.Better to be safe and re establish the walnut in the middle of a lawn away from saplings.I would think as the root area expands so will the risk of the toxicty to other plants.
  17. More likley the Juglans will struggle to get water amd nutrients with the allready establised trees.What age are the establised trees? Dont think it will be too much of a problem for the surrounding trees,not if its a young tree to mature tree ratio.
