  1. Im organising the Ao1 planting assessment in Guildfod at John Tangys date to be set and the price will be around the £60 mark. If any body is intrested give me a PM. Paul.

  5. Yeah, that was taken in the auto setting. If an object is near it automaticly goes into macro. Thera are so many settings on the thing I dont know where to start. I know nothing about phototography, glad I didn't get the DSLR!!
  6. Hama, is the telephoto lens for the g11? what exactley does it do? all i understand is that it is like putting a magnifiying glass infront of the lens!

  9. Ive got the G11, it was a presant for my 30. are you going to get the ring flash or any of the other attachments for it? I kept getting shadows when I took macro shots and was told to turn the flash off!
  10. The main safty thing about them is as many people put the strain on the same amount need to take it off.........!

  12. Any one know Keith Yates from Somerset way? He had to remove a wind blown tree from a house and I think the story goes that a crane couldn't fit down the lanes so the insurance company paid the RAF to come out with a Chinook. Keith climbed the tree attached the strop / chain from the hovering Chinook then climbed down and cut the stem from the root plate. The Chinook then lifted the tree away from the house and laid it down in a neighbours field. I watched the video when I was at Merrist Wood. They still have it, just ask at the library.

  15. I went in DD to see what machines they had in the Hawley depot as I need a dumper and 3t digger for another job and to get prices. I saw the Ant but it was bust, shame cos it looked a good machine. Al, how long ago did you have the avant off them as if the 4x4 isn't working they can give me a cheaper price, was it a green mustard sort of colour. (cant really tell as im colour blind! Thats good going for that conifer, did it fill the truck x2.
  16. Hi Al, Did you hire it off DD hire? I got it back out on hire tomorrow, ground should be hard! I never got the reply to the message I sent you about the stump grinding because my pm box was full! Paul.
  17. I think Merrist wood are expensive anyway, search around and you should find them cheeper!
  18. Have the spark plugs been replaced with the right ones? Sorry didnt read the whole post and now see you have changed the plugs!

  20. The one I know paid for nothing, the college paid for all assessments and the £200 he is paid is on the side at the week end.

  23. Nice pics, not sure on the names but they look saprophytic, feeding on dead wood. How do you fit in to the Arb industry. Climber, La? theres 3 girls on one of the part time courses at merrist wood, theory only but seen some cracking female climbers.
