  1. Whats the difference between class 1 and 2?
  2. You have the RFS Cert level 2 and the RFS Prof Dip level 6. The Tech Cert level 3. I think the level 2 has been re writen but the format for the 3 and 6 hasn't been finalised yet. If it was the level 3 tech cert that you wanted to do its no longer avaliable in that format so you will have to wait and see what comes out towards the end of the summer.
  3. Explain to the client on the phone before you go to look at the job that the app will be charged for but if they decide employ you to carry out the work then the price for the app will be taken off the quote, Works for me. Allthough any other profession the app would be charged for regardless wether you got the work.

  8. Co dominent stems need to sway together as 1 unit, a heavy side latural branch can be blown up down, side to side ect and rope can then become untensioned then tensioned which will snatch on the load bearing part of the tree that the brace is attached to this is where the shock obsorber needs to be used.
  9. See how far he puts his hand in.
  10. If you look in the istructions it says not to use the shock absorber when bracing co dominant stems.
  11. The assesment will be done with Surrey NPTC, which is 2mins from MerristWoods Front gates.
  12. I Have spoken to the NPTC asessor and would be looking to do the assesment in April. 13. MK5s are the smileys.
  14. Like Mat says the mk5 are very good but wach out for the rust!!! If you are going for the mk6 make sure its had its oil changed as this can lead to timing chain problems. The duel mass ful wheels are also rubbish, but they can when needed be changed to a solid and I think the early mk7 had teething problems.
  15. Apparently the stein blades are made at the same factory as the Silky ones. I havent used a Stein one but they do seem a bit heavey er and a bit more bulky, ill be sticking to my silky.
  16. I took my chipper there after he had been recomended and I wasn't entirley happy with the service and I wont be taking my chiper there again!

I am now ready to go ahead with the course and need 10 people at least and I think the price was about £100. I have 3 people ready to do this.
