  2. Snatching tops by yourself, by winding the lowering rope around the stem below your cut. Rope must be wound top to bottom or it will jamb. Sounds Hokey, but its a good one to know.
  3. My peference is Sthil. Due moslty to being more familiar with the brand and how to fix them etc. I have used "Husky's" but not for any real length of time.Frankly I feel that a user's brand loyalty is more based on personal preference or what their company provides for their use than Sthil being more reliable than "Husky" or vis versa. As for brands other than the two above? They are mostly used by private or occasional chainsaw users.IMHO.
  4. Had to post again to erase the Satanic post count I was displaying.

  10. You'll need a good few years before you'd have the experiance to do Trees like that. But in the meantime keep building your skill set and before you know it,you'll be in NZ deadwooding with a 066.
  11. 200 foot plus, big spready Eucalyptus. But it smells nice and is really strong, you need it to be for the size of the lumps you can swing off them.
  12. I have the generic version of that phone.I think its made by "Sonim" in Sweden.Good for a while, but the plugs that cover the charger plug and hands free holes soon fall off.Its a good phone, but durable in the short term only.Mine I'm on my second in six months.

  19. Just me climbing, two our staff and the road control and grab truck from the contractor. Its only four trees now,the first and largest isn't coming down.
  20. Because they are out of fashion. Nah,there are old utility lines beneath them that have to be excavated and that will sever the roots on one side.
  21. We have been asked to quote the removal of these five trees.Contractor removes the waste, this due to the ammount of waste and limited area presents problems in itself. Three live lines in front (can be turned off but not removed) Two service lines to houses behind 360deg target area 180deg of the target area is private property Traffic on the one side must be halted during lowering. Traffic control supplied by client Price suggestions Ladies and Gentlemen please.
