  3. It must be twenty years since i cut this piece. Hornbeam from Villa Lemm Gatow. As you can see it didn’t split , mind you it was a diagonal cut.
  4. maybe next time dry the wood first and then cut the slices. covering both sides with wax and letting them dry from the bark side might help.
  5. Outreach is important especially when felling , nothing worse having the vehicle directly under the drop zone. I don't like spiderlifts but they do have their advantages.

  9. I'm trying to make a dead eye sling using tenex tec 19 mm. I've buried the tail a fid's length back into the rope. Should i use whipping. Thanks for any help

  12. I Left this rigging sling in a scots pine just before our holidays , that was four weeks ago. I'll try some butter , but i think a new one is the shopping list
