( the Kernmaster Safari/Explore is by the far the best colour combo )

    Ropes

11mm is kernmaster, 11.7mm is blue tongue, 13mm is XTC. but colour does change how a rope feels and behaves
  7. who was the guy who made the SLUG? is it the same guy trying to say hes a leading splicer in the UK on treebuzz?

  12. Sorry oldmill but will have to wait for the next Africa vids!! We are here in SA now finding some more baobabs and filming parrots- RR pics will go up in due course buddy
  13. Harrison Rockets 8-10-12 oz range, didn't like the throwpod and use the bullet section of the rope knight for tight crotches. Zing it and hevea throwline, faltheimer cubes only- stein cube was just total rubbish and same with petzl cube. Couldn't imagine doing treework without these essential tools

  15. RR is a pretty damn cool tool, your gunna like it bro
  16. Works absolutely fine
  17. I honk it's just personal preference between all of them, they all work well.
  18. It's simple, works well on a choked line and that's it.
  19. You get the benefits of a high anchor point without having to actually ascend to the top
  20. Yep that looks absolutely fine to me too.
  21. If just cut it off and start again.( it really shouldn't look like that by that stage).
  22. Tibloc is a bad idea to use often, it's pretty harsh. Try an 'o rig' set up using a small prussic cord, better than a cam device in my opinion. Google 'o rig' for description and/or vids. Hitch climber pulley is the mutts nuts.
  23. Ascend with a hitch and rope wrench and you can work at any point. No need to go to the top and changeover.
  24. Agrimog- a kernmantle splice looks very different to a double braid splice.. And yep, need to see more of the rope but if in doubt, send it back to confirm
